I have a bit of a dilemma. The pairs competition starts at exactly the same time as my Japanese conversation group! I like being able to converse in Japanese, but I like watching skating too... Now that I consider the issue a little bit more, it may not be such a big issue after all. The cafe where the group meets has free Wi-Fi and most members of the group don't show up until at least 30 minutes after it officially starts. Besides, the Japanese pair team is in the first group, I could introduce my group members to the joy of pairs skating...😁

Update: Unfortunately, I realized I couldn't get to my group on time. After an important errand took more time than expected to do, I had the choice of doing another errand and running the risk of being late or getting to the group early. Guess which option I chose. 😅

It's generally a good group, though it does get a little crowded in that cafe sometimes. Too bad I'm not going to it tonight (see edit above). Have you tried meetup.com? Perhaps there is a Japanese conversation/culture group near you...

There's various groups for all kinds of interests listed on meetup.com, I'm sure there's senior groups too!

No idea. I see all the skaters waiting by the boards.

Oh wait, I see a person running from judge to judge. Maybe a computer problem?

I'll be at the arena later for the women's SP, so watching the pairs' at home right now.

Not as many audience for now...perhaps people are out for the sunshine today? (it was kind of cold in the past few days here in Taipei). Definitely more ppl joining later, as it's a national holiday today in Taiwan.

Did they forget to put the 'Guai Guai' snacks on top of the computers? :D
