Considering Dmitri was ill barely a month ago and they lost some training time and Igor's death they did great.

All the pair elements (throws, lifts, death spiral) didn't look as strong as they normally do but that was somewhat to be expected. I'm certain they will be full strength by the next event. Besides the beginning of last season was a little rough too but it ended great so no need to worry

I've just finishedd watching the free skate, and I had to actually fight back the tears.

Seeing their drained faces was ssad to see - Aeksandra's radiant smile completely absent. But looking at Tamara Moskvina just broke my heart.

Normally I may have been upset at 3rd place. But not today. Honestly, I don't care. It's of no cosequence, at all.

My heaart goes out to them. Especially, of course, to Madame Moskvina. Courage and strength - andf no one has more of that than she does.

Way to fight like true champions. Congratulations

After everything that has happened in the last two months winning didn't really matter as much as a clean skate did. They needed that more. Hopefully it will boost their confidence and will help them to regain all their strength. I don't doubt they have it in them one bit.

They were simply awesome! I watched the video before I saw the results - and part of me didn't even care about placements after watching it - it was just thrilling & exhilerating!

I so adore B/K - wasn't their going up to T/M and congratulating them just lovely? Filled me with "the warm fuzzies" and a happy feeling, in spite of their "only" getting silver.:)

According to their ISU bio, Sasha and Dima will unveil a new SP in Stockholm!
Music is OST from Howl's Moving Castle, one of Miyazaki's brilliant animes. The tune, "Merry Go-round of Life" has the basic rythm of waltz with several change of moods - sounds promising and can't wait to see this!

I'm sad .. I liked the SP ... I really like the sadness of it (but i understand that is more difficult to like that kind of music to a first signt).. and I don't know if they had enough time to prepare .. on the other hand I like the new music choice ... and I wouldn't be surprise if the Lady Moskvina is testing the waters for the Olympic season

I was worried something like this might happen, when they were leading after the short, but I didn't want to say anything.

But they still got a small gold medal out of this, apart from the bronze, and that is not anything to sneeze at.

They'll be back, and they will be better & stronger for this experience.
