They've definitely lost the feds backing - I think that the coaching environment just isn't working for them now - all is not lost BUT I think that the choice they make next season when Moskvina retires will be crucial. It's such a shame that the mental block is happening in the most important season, I really hope they can get past it because I think they really shine and they have the best chemistry between them out of the Russian teams imo.

I also think some skating fans are unnecessarily cruel about Sasha.

In fact B/K had mental problems many times before when they were facing important competitions. 2017 junior worlds where they lost to Alexandrovskaya/Windsor because of the messed free skate. Then when they entered senior GP in 2018/19 season at their second entry they were on a clear way to the GPF but then again messed the free skate and finished third while it was more than within their reach to finish second. Then 2019 GPF, again they bombed the free program while they were silver after the short. It seems to be a pattern. Then the last worlds.

IMO they do well when nothing is at stake, when it is not that important comeptition or when they are not ina role of the favourite, like 2019 worlds. They left good impression, it was their debut and nobody expected them to medal. their 6th place was considered a huge success. But whenever they are at an important competition for them being in a role of the favourite pair, the chance they will bomb increases hugely. In fact the only time they really delivered in such role was the 2020 Europeans. That time I thought they overcame their problems but since then they unfortunately show the same as they did previously. I don't think the layout has much to do with that.

They planned to perform in Finland but they had to withdrew to get an American visa

Yes .. I agree. ... I think it's for two reasons: they are to expressive so after her reaction in worlds they become target and two if you have a new favorite team ( "aka japan's team) you have to bury one team for creating space for that one .. in that case B/K

The bashing of them (which has become majority of the online fandom) started long before world's. It started subtly after M/G joined the Mosvina group. World's was just the excuse people used to take it to the next level and do it more openly.

Also they need to stop doing that jump combo sequence asap. Not only does she struggle with it (he's better but he barely gets it completed) but it has messed up their synchronization big time. They used to be one of the best in that area and now they're easily one of the worst.

The coaching situation wasn't working last year either. The wheels were clearly starting to fall off all throughout last season only to totally come off at world's. Now they're driving with missing wheels. Ideally they should have tried to go elsewhere during the off-season cause it's pretty clear M/G replaced them in the camp even before world's. Go anywhere. Even T/M found a way when they went to Eteri

I agree .. they were the type of pair that we haven't had to worry the the jumps .. i now we do.
In relation to the coach situation.. they look like they respect a lot Moskvina ... so isn't easy in the olympic year change from her coach.. T/M they had a bad situation since this quad .. and Eteri was a safe situation because she is Eteri ..
