After a four-months break Andrei has appeared in competition again. He won the silver medal behind training mate Mark Lukin.

Andrei is back for real! He performed again this weekend at a local competition in Vyborg.
Sadly, neither Andrei's skate nor the streaming went well. The stream cut off the entire first half of Andrei's program and looking at the protocols he messed up all of his jumping passes. He did a 4T (-GOE), 2S+2T*, and 3A (-GOE).
I still uploaded the second half of his program for the soothing StSq3 and two nice spins.
Good luck for the FS tomorrow!

Andrei came third in the FS for a fifth place overall. The quad jumps continue to elude him, but he jumped two huge 3As.
The quality of the stream was quite bad, so it can't be fully appreciated, but despite the unusually long mid-season break Andrei's skating looks even smoother than at the beginning of the season. Good speed and ice coverage and his beautiful spirals with nice extension. One of my little figure skating joys.

Andrei was wonderful in his last competition of the season. 
His Vampire Ball remains one of my absolute figure skating highlights. It's a bit sad to say goodbye to this program but I'm glad he skated it one last time so magically.
