Who would've predicted the result of this race? The favourites made mistakes, and here we go with an unexpected podium!

While Johannes seems to be done, Martin is well capable of making up 23 seconds - tomorrow's pursuit shall be interesting

Guys, if you're interested in more detailed results of the races, start lists, etc. - check out the IBU Datacentre! :)

Thank you so much, MelDee. Because I find the Biathlon World site a nightmare, and I don't like linking to the Pyeongchang 2018 site because Games websites usually disappear.

Women's Pursuit coverage is about to start.

Now that I have seen the sprint, I think I will watch this LIVE.

Another mature performance by Laura Dahlmeier, she sure knows how to peak at major competitions!

I think there were only 3 in the whole Sprint field that shot clean.

Yep - Akimova in 20[SUP]th[/SUP] and Zdouc in 48[SUP]th[/SUP] were the others.

Nobody managed it today in the Pursuit.

But Dahlmeier is definitely the complete package. Accurate shooting and fast skiing.

If she wasn't prone to taking sick, she would dominate the sport.

I don't like the sound of this - Mike Dixon was telling us that Laura was saying before today's race that if she wins three races, she will think of retiring! :jaw:

Calm down girl! You're only young, and have so much more to give the sport!

Delighted for Kuzmina getting second. For somebody that was told by the Russian team that she wasn't good enough when she was a teenager, to switch to a different country and to be having the season she is having over a decade later. Wow!

And with brother Anton not being able to compete in Pyeongchang because of the Russian affair, it is good to see the Shipulin family having something to cheer about with these Olympics.

I really hope she wins a race in these Olympics. That would really make a lot of points to various people.

She has previously said that she'd like to do what Magdalena Neuner did, and has stated years ago that she doesn't plan to stick around for a long time. Let's see if she changes her mind after these Olympics.

Yet another surprise in biathlon - great performance by Samuelsson, ranked #50 in the World Cup standings, but a silver at the Olympics. Martin Fourcade redeemed himself, long live the king! :yahoo:
