The Senior Men's event at the 2019 Canadian Championships is going to be a blood bath! :eeking:
Fighting for 2 Junior Worlds spots will be heartbreaking for me!
I adopted almost every Canadian junior man and no matter who will go to Zagreb I will cry

In his Instagram live tonight, Conrad says he's only doing the SP at Sectionals to test out quads in his SP. He also said that he's not going for senior Worlds because he's not going to do a senior B so he won't have the tech scores.
He said he hopes to go to JW, but he said he doesn't think the chances are very high. Olivia McIsaac, Alison Schumacher, Natalie D'Alessandro and a few others were there because they were doing Skate Canada fitness testing, and they all loudly disagreed.
He also said he's working on all of 4Lz, 4F and 4Lo in practice and that he'll add lutz or flip for next season. He also compared his jumps to his kids and said he couldn't pick a favourite.

When I spoke to Conrad after the free skate at Nationals he was really down on himself (part of it was very analytical about the choices he made in the moment, part was just self-flagellating). I told him that his improvement this season was very obvious, whatever the individual disappointments. Nevertheless, I'm sure he's really disappointed to miss the Worlds team. It's a real shame we didn't have three spots this year, because we've got three guys who could do really well there; ironically, I think Stephen and Joseph stand a strong chance of getting us three for next season, when we'll probably have less need.

Well, we'll have Stephen and Iliya, and then even if they both move up, one of Jo and Conrad could go back to JW if they missed on 4CCs/Worlds. Alexei Krasnozhon has said he's hoping to be sent to JW this season even though he's been competing senior.

Conrad was live on IG earlier. He said they're changing his FS and they have a broad idea of what they're going to do for it, but nothing specific yet. He didn't say anything about changing the SP, so he may be keeping it.
He also said he'd like to skate to some anime music at some point, because he watches a lot of it. And that they're currently working on new jumps and spins. Apparently he started trying loop combos today. He also talked about working on his camel-change-change spin with Paige and said they made big improvements on it and he feels really good about it even though he normally doesn't like the camel.

Nice to know he is developing new stuff, something to look forward to.
