Happy birthday Jason- may this new year be your best so far!
Yeah definitely gonna argue some of those UR calls were bogus (and the flip edge but that’s a given- he easily lost two points on that). I think under a different panel it would have been over 170 easily.
I thought the quad attempt actually was pretty good.
Don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but in a recent interview with Nick McCarvel, Gracie Gold cites her support system and Jason is prominently included. We all knew that they were friends in the past, but apparently they are still very good friends.
"Support is everything," Gold said about those close to her, including mom Denise, twin sister Carly and longtime Chicago-area friend Jason Brown. "I had people in my life when things got really dark, but I felt like I didn't. I felt like we weren't close enough that I would tell them what was going on. In this 'take two' of my skating career, I'm really trying to reach out and connect and work with that support system both inside and outside of the skating world. That's really, really important to me."
I had noticed this, and it made me smile.
Thanks for the pics, Bonita!
I assume we won't hear any more from Jason until he's at the ranch. I hope he's training well and is happy. I wonder if he might be at Tracy's again on the 25th.
Merry Christmas, dear Jasonites! Have a fabulous day!
It's a cbc link in Jackie's tweet and the commentary on the step sequence was amazing. They were all gushing over Jason's edges and "there are some things that only a skater can appreciate how difficult they are" and just
Was that Tracy making the comments?
Was that Tracy making the comments?
Don't hold me to it as I don't know the cbc commentators that well but I think it was Carol Lane, Kurt Browning and potentially someone else?
