I really enjoyed Kyrylo's SP performance at Euros and after the successful international season he's had so far, I think he deserves his own fanfest here.
So, go Kyrylo :cheer2: and good luck at Junior Worlds!

I just knew it was the right thing to do when I created this fanfest for Kyrylo. And voilà, here is confirmation that he is one of the good guys.

The picture came with this article from Finish magazine Seura. Machine translation works pretty well, but beware, it is a tough read.

Kyrylo delivered a clean SP at his debut at Worlds. :yahoo: It was just not enough to make it into the free, but considering the most difficult circumstances he had to deal with this season, the 25th place is an outstanding achievement.

He plans to go back to Ukraine and compete in the upcoming Nationals. Best of luck Kyrylo, and stay safe! 🍀

I tried to upload Kyrylo's SP to youtube, but it got blocked immediately. So here is the timestamped link to the ISU stream, which might require a vpn to view from some countries: https://youtu.be/2tS6MtTHM10?list=PLuiPiC1Hk8eJC5uEud4mkYkFE1eegF-8J&t=3844

Delivering a clean program with some nice skating he really couldn't have done much better. It felt unfair that he didn't make it into the free, but for now he just doesn't have the reputation or results. Hopefully he will get there in the future. All the best!

New interview with Kyrylo on the Ukrainian fed site. He's going to keep his SP music for next season, but he'll change the order of the elements around a bit and there will be a new step sequence.
Selection of the new FS music isn't final yet. Can't wait to see what Kyrylo and team will come up with. :cheer:

Looking forward to seeing this program soon at JGP Istanbul! I guess this means no host spot for Kyrylo at GP Finland. It was a long shot anyway, and maybe he has a chance of qualifying for JGP final instead. Wouldn't that be awesome! :cheer:

Happy 19th birthday to Kyrylo! 🌻🎂🍾

Kyrylo is competing later today at JGP Istanbul.

Best of luck in Turkey and for the upcoming season!
It seems he didn't get a second JGP assignment, although imo he could have been a contender for the final. Hopefully we will see him at many Challenger events and Senior-B competitions, and who knows, maybe even Euros or Worlds again.

Kyrylo had a bit of a tough time at JGP Istanbul. Particularly the SP didn't go as planned, which honestly isn't that surprising because Kyrylo collided with another skater during warm-up. Luckily nothing serious happened to either of them, but it must have rattled him.
The FS already went much better and I love his new program and costume. 😻
We also got to witness one of the sweetest things I've ever seen in FS. Kyrylo's coach Alina Mayer-Virtanen didn't travel with him to Istanbul, so for the SP, a Ukrainian ice dance coach was sitting with him in the K&C. But apparently she couldn't make it for the FS either, so a couple of other, non-Ukrainian coaches just came up to support and sit with Kyrylo. Great spirit in the international figure skating community!

Next opportunity to cheer for Kyrylo will be CS Finlandia Trophy in early October.

Kyrylo did much better in his SP at Finlandia than at the JGP. 😻

He said that he pinched a nerve in his hip when he collided with another skater at the JGP Istanbul warm-up and he still needs to take pain killers to deal with the injury.
Get well soon Kyrylo and smooth ice tomorrow in the FS!

The FS today didn't go so well. I hope Kyrylo can rest a little, heal his hip injury and show us a clean free skate soon! It is a fantastic program for him, and the costume is gorgeous.
