Anastasia Shabotova tried a 3A during her free program at Ukrainian Nats, but << and fallen. Anyway, interesting that she tried it!

Oh, you are right! I mixed up the numbers.
Here are the stats of last years Nationals 6:58

So an improvement of 5cms! A really great achievement.

I noticed during her first competition this season how high Rika's 3A had gotten this season. I was hoping for solid numbers. It is pretty amazing that two petite girls like Aliona and Rika are able to achieve heights of 57cm and 58cm respectively on their 3As and do them with such consistency! Amazing!

Amusingly, Rika may have gotten more height than she needed on that 3A... it was a bit over-rotated.

I know this is not 3A but i just saw Yuhana Yokoi 2A is 49 cm in height, and she also covers 3.2m... thats HUGE (only second to Wakaba's 2A 51 cm). i hope she can land he 3A soon, i've seen her landing it in practice once

Also it is hardly a news, Sui TAKEUCHI landed 3A+3T two years ago at a domestic competition (Inter High School).

YouTube video was taken down relatively soon by request from copyright holder, but I recently noticed bilibili have it.

She got 1.40 GOE for it.

It was said to be lenient judge and even ratification at that time.

I felt it was interesting that Technical Specialist was Yoshie ONDA who is known for reckless 3A attempts in early 2000s.

Sui is still competing but apparently lost jumping ability through puberty not only 3A but also 3Lz and 3F.
