Wishing Michael all the best at 4CC. Read in his Twitter account that he has been training hard so hopefully he can give a good account of himself there. Hoping too to see him at Worlds. Go Michael! AMDG!

The 3A again caused him grief. His combination spin though was splendid, easily the best in the competition, garnering + 2s and +3s in GOE and much applause from the audience.
He is now in ninth place. Wishing him a strong skate in the free. Go Michael!

WOW I have no idea he's that tall. One thing for sure, this kid is getting more handsome by the days.Michael's 2016 4CC SP: https://m.youtube.com/watch?autoplay=1&v=uh7SZ54K52k.

Is he still training most of the year in the Philippines? I notice that he hasn't been competed much this past year but his skating is much much improved. He no longer has that scary position in the air during his jumps. Any ideas on his training situations?
Wish him luck for the WC!
Michael C. Martinez skated very well, he has lovely lines and is very flexible. It is always amazing to see male skaters do I-spin (or was it a Y-spin, but I think he def did one I-spin in the SP) and Bielmanns. This guy is a fan favourite, a recipient of many excited 'kawaii!!' cries among the crowd as he took to the ice and at the K&C
Thx for your info on MCM. AND yes I become a fan because of his amazing spins (Is that obvious? LOL). I saw him in competitions a few times. And hope to see him more in the future. MAYBE Asian Winter Games next year.Welcome to Michael's fanfest thread Spinning! And judging from your username:agree:, I guess you appreciate the quality of Michael's spins. Re your query, most of his training is in the US!
Martinez shared that after his month-long break he will go back to the United States to train for his next competitions, including the Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy to be held here in Manila in August.
Oh! I've seen his skates and though I am not a fan of the majority of his choreo's I do like his technique. I do think he is talented too. Hmm... sad he wont be in the GrandPrix but hope to see more performances in the future and hopefully a quad!
Agreed, hope he gets better chereo (more like his ex). He's Biellmann is the most beautiful in mens!
I can't believe he's 5'9". That's almost as tall as Plushenko.
I've seen clips of his SP on Youtube and imo it has better choreo ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoV2MT8DJCY ) -- ahem, if I may be bold to say, his cantilever is better than Shoma's *cough* -- Hope he can perform this in actual competition so he can make adjustments before the next Worlds. Though I prefer Yuzuru's for a tiny bit, Michael's Biellman too is gorgeous!
