Maybe they should have done a separate section for the synchroNobody is even pretending to care about Synchro, not even the guy speaking about Synchro RIP (I mean I don't either, but they could've pretended to)
Nice slides though

But at least now we know why they dont do more transparent judging.
Imagine stuff like that in protocols or in press conferences after every competition?

I loathe meetings and conferences for this very reason. Everyone seems to become extremely slow, even if they are very intelligent in any other setting.
Ok, Ary Zakarian (is he Medvedeva's agent?)
"Nathan's 6 quads were the main reason for people to go watch the show"
"If a skater does just a 4T, he can still do 2 of them and compete at higher level, with the rule he will go for different quads, and there will be more injuries"
"We need to push limits"
Sorry not really watching but did the quad limiting proposal go through or no?
hmmm I have a proposal:
reduce max age for any isu representatives.
They tried it once (I think it might have been for judges though) - legal said it was discrimination against the elderly.
I find the ominous music at the end very fitting for this mess

What is he smoking? He couldn't be more wrong...the last thing I want to see is a bigger advantage given to a bunch of ugly, messy quads and more disadvantage to 95% of the field that has only one stable quad at best. Ugh.
i wish they could broadcast the coffee break
I don’t think Ary is in favor of the quad rule which will limit the quads to one of each. That clearly favors Nathan Chen and hurts the rest of the field who only do one type of quad. It’s so random that you can repeat triple jumps but not quads. We don’t need people to be forced to learn quads which this rule will essential accomplish. I don’t think it matters anyway...it’s going to be voted down swiftly. He called for the vote to end it right there and people applauded and seemed eager to vote.
He’s right too that US interest spiked because of Nathan’s quads and in turn he brought out fans which increased attendance at stats on ice,
I think he mentioned Nathan as an example of how people are drawn to the quad spectacle, as in "we need more quads not less because that is what audience wants to watch and pays $$$ for"
