Fuji TV continues to share back stage clips, this time of 4CC 2020. Including the draw, and some lovely moments of TCC boys cooling down together on the ice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NawD0zgBU9s
It may be geoblocked, so here's a part of it shared on twitter https://twitter.com/dollhanyu/status/1271380088865517568?s=20

I've watched the part of their cooling down a couple of times, how lovely and beautiful :luv17: I wish we could hear what Yuzuru and Kazuki kept talking about during the draw. I did the translation of their conversation about the age difference before in this thread, but I'm still amazed to hear that Yuzuru had already won Japanese novice nationals when Yuma was born

I watched it on repeat too. -The lack of ice shows this year has left a really big hole it my life.

Remember there was Yuzuru's special exhibition by Yomiuri Shinbun at the department stores two years ago? This year they were planning to hold 2019-2020 version, but they decided to do it on line considering the concern about the spread of COVID-19. They will open the special web-page on July 1. I believe many fans around the world can see the contents this time, I hope we'll also have merchandise :hap10:

We were talking about merchandise for the exhibition and here they come:biggrin:. And for a wonderful cause too:clap: Although I wonder if international delivery is even possible under current circumstances. Just judging from the sample picture, the merchandise looks beautiful and I would hate to miss out :noshake: I hope they have those kewpie dolls again like last time.

Online Yuzuru Hanyu exhibition merchandises will be sold at online shop. Part of the proceed will be donated to the people who are facing difficulties under the circumstances of COVID-19 spread, and to funds that support medical workers engaged in infection control.

I'm sure the proceeds going to covid relief will be sizeable... maybe we should put this on one of the general thread about covid too?

I am looking forward to seeing the merchandise, even if I can't buy any from overseas.

JSF has approved the plan for 2020-2021 season and decided to hold Japanese national in Nagano and NHK Trophy in Osaka.

If we have GPS this year, how the skaters will be assigned for each competition? There wasn't WC this year, so the podium finishers can not pick the competition they want to participate I think?

They are probably still trying to nut that out... given the current state of the world, I really don't believe thet GP series will prove possible. I hope Yuzu has a less ;punishing schedule this year.

I really think they should just cancel the GP circuit altogether and have the seson consist of Nationals, 4CC/Euros, Worlds and the events that happen later on the season, like Golden Spin and Coupe de Pintemps

I think when it comes to, that will be forced on the ISU... if we even get that. The longest drought in history.... oh well, at least Yuzu fans have more experience at being cactii.

With the current state of visas and air travel, I don't see how any international athlete can manage traveling to Japan. I guess this scheduling represents the most hopeful scenario for JSF.

I agree. JSF decided to hold regional competitions and All Japan Novice without the audience, so it seems they will try to have Japanese nationals in December at least. But everything will depend on overall situation in the country...
