I like so much the fanfiction about manga but with real person is scary for me...

If you do read them, you have to pretend that the real people are like actors in the story. For example, I read a very poignant chapter where "Patrick" contemplates life after retirement, and it is very scary to him. That part of the story made me want to :sad4:.

But then I realized that it was a bit exaggerated, because Patrick has said that he has a bright future ahead of him after retirement.

I didn't expect this conversation when I opened this page:rofl2:

:scratch2: You mean about the fanfics? It goes hand in hand with the "Crazy Future Predictions" thread! :)

Five years ago, with this program, Patrick changed the men's field of figure skating for ever.
I can't believe that five years have passed already. I'm so nostlgic

Oh yes, and I love this version of the program - I was blown away when I first saw it. Can't imagine what it was like for the people who were there!

Yes .... try to understand me...I was wandering around the fan fests, I saw Patrick's and I was like 'oh I haven't read it in a while, maybe there are some links of post worlds interviews or stars on ice videos' and the first thing I read is a discussion on a ship name for Patrick and Yuzuru....I just found it hilarious

P.s. I would pick Chanyu, it sounds great, but Yuzurick is not that bad either

Lol welcome back! We were discussing this because of this picture, which 4everchan captioned.

What a great article with some nice photos of Patrick wearing green, and most of all, great quotes from him about SOI and the future!

About MTK:

Chan will skate his Mack the Knife short program.

“I had to water it down (during the competitive season) because of the jumps and other technical elements. My goal is to add the choreographic elements back in and be able to tell the story better. It brings more character into the program. It’s high energy and it immediately puts the smile on my face.”

After SOI:

After Stars on Ice ends Chan will return to Detroit where he and coach Kathy Johnson will start work on two new programs. What they will look like, he can’t say, noting only that he is open to different possibilities.

I love this quote the most:

I have much more to offer in competitive skating than I did before. I’m re-envisioning myself, trying to skate for different reasons. I have different goals.

The Phantom Of The Arena has spoken :yahoo::

He is just backing me up because I have said it was not up to us to set goals for him and be heartbroken if he did not achieve them.

What we need to do is to support him in believing in himself and in achieving his goals. :yes2:

Haha, so he will now be nicknamed the POTA instead of POTO. The difference is - he's not alone.

I love what he said about "re-envisioning" himself and trying to have different reasons to skate and different goals. I think in the past, even if we did not set goals for him, he set goals for himself that he thought we wanted, because he likes to please people.

Definitely the "winning 10 championships" goal is achievable, and I applaud him for having realistic expectations and goals.

Oh, and this was such a great interview because Patrick expressed himself well and came across very gracious in the article. :agree:

They say POTO, I say POTA............as long as it's not PITA. :slink:

Nobody likes PITA. I used to screen out potential PITA clients and some coaches kick out PITA students. I believe 4everchan does too. ;)
