Men's discipline is so unpredictable that everything can change after FS. Someone can score well in SP and then really move down after FS, so it will be interesting!

Good luck everyone in the FS! Rooting for Kolyada and Fernandez!

I'm not particularly a fan of Dutch figure skaters, but it does pain me to see Kennes end up in 25th place. That's just sad.

And I suppose with a 14.5 points gap, Javi could just skate around having a good time in the free and still win. That fourth title is as good as in the bag. Congrats in advance.

If Javi is fully Yuzu-fied, then having a good time in the free probably means trying out the 4Lo and land it before Yuzu.

deciphering protocols really isn't one of my strong suits. FUSp4? Really? A level 4 FU spin? Shouldn't that get like a decency deduction or something :roll9::biggrin:

OMG, Deniss V... was so interesting. Great kid. I hope he keeps the good work. His spins deserve a better HD image than the one I had on the Russian link. I couldn't figure out his position in the sit spin, LOL. Amazing! Unfortunate falls, but at 16, everything is forgiven.

102 for not quite a clean skate from Javi. Generous +3GOE for the 3A. The only pristine landing was the 4T. I guess my standard for clean "swish - nothing but the net" is probably too harsh for most lol.

I actually kinda like Maxim's programs this year, but meh on that terrible layout. Is he incapable of putting 3A in the 2nd half? (rethorical of course, since he fell on the 3A here).

It was awesome to see so many quads, wasn't? Will be even crazier at the Worlds with Yuzuru, Patrick, Bojang, Shoma and Denis. I already cannot wait for Worlds!

I have never enjoyed an SP with 2 falls more in my life! I'm not being sarcastic either. Denis is a gem of performing genius. Love him. The audience absolutely loved him too it seems. :dance3:

I loved that on his fall during his step sequence I had a split second of wondering if it was a part of the choreo or not. I didn't know him at all before but I'm going to follow him from now because he's very nice to watch :D

Just tuned in! Did I just see Tomas Verner with the last guy?

There's a Spanish dude on now skating to Don Quixote, makes me think of Plushy and Viktor Petrenko

ETA: Oops I seem to have arrived like five hours too late looking at this thread! Must be a repeat...there is a little box in the corner of the Russian stream but I haven't learnt the Russian word for "replay" yet
