Is it just me, or are all the scores generous? :scratch2:

Especially for the 'better' skaters, the lower tiers scored as usual. I don't understand what they're trying to do here, giving these programs over 70......it's so early in the season, wouldn't it be more logical to stay a bit on the conservative side of judging? Where is this supposed to end at the Olympics?

And Alina has no reason to look so disappointed. Mistakes happen, I still think she's got the best chances of winning Lombardia or at least getting silver.

I can see Zagitova's team deciding to take out the entrance into the 2A, but I really, really like it.:hopelessness: Even just looking at it makes my legs burn, it's insanely difficult.

It's not you. But the scores are only selectively generous ... to the pre-conceived high scorers.

Alina reminded me of Gracie: she has just two expressions: Yay! I made my jumps ... or Ugh, I missed my jumps.

Alina looks so upset. I hope she's ok. I have no doubt she'll come back more determined and extremely strong in the FS.

Generous scores today for Aline as it was for CK and WH, imo. Was it just today or does Aline always skate so slow?

I liked Alina in this program - it really suits her, but mistakes have to go. Hope for her clean long:)

Because they gave Kostner 71 for only having 3-2. Then they gave Higuchi 74 for UR. So yes it's high.

I was stunned to see those TES score for Wakaba. That 3T was definitely under. The scores are baffling and the usual reasons don't explain some of them.

Let me remind you this was World Championships 2011, not some senior B, and this lady did 3lz, 3F2T, 2A with huge reputation on her back:
https://youtu.be/oACoz5ekzy8

And she got 65.91

Compared to whatever happened today...

Yes, the system is going to break. Because judges are trying to break it right at senior B.

Image if Medvedeva were here and clean, how much they would give her? 84?

I thought this was supposed to be balletic
I'm fine with that approach. The black swan is becoming insane after all. Certainly a better fit than her FS. But the PCS was too generous imo. Shouldn't get more than 30 compared to Kostner, Higuchi and Tuktamysheva today. But she's going to win the FS and the competition. I don't like that FS at all but the SP is interesting.

Another explanation could be that they want to put a bit more excitement into the Ladies this season. If Evgenia scores 80 in every competition there is no reason to watch other skaters with clean programs score in the high 60's. There must be at least a 7 in front.

maybe they were hyped cause they finally (after the break) could judge (and watch) elite skating again :)
