Just did a quick google search and it looks like the BBC are showing live coverage online 😱, looks like I wasted my holidays, either that or I will have to watch the coverage on mute 😞.
What's so bad about BBC commentary?

Have you got a link to this? I didn't find anything when I searched earlier on the website and i-player - it can be difficult to find stuff when they're streaming online

What's so bad about BBC commentary?
Despite having commentated on it for years, she doesn't know owt about figure skating and takes great pride in her lack of knowledge. It is all a big joke to her and that attitude really riles me. She doesn't ever do any basic research and doesn't retain any information or knowledge from one year to the next. We aren't asking her to be an expert - just to treat our sport with a bit of respect.

Agree absolutely. The BBC wouldn't accept this standard of professionalism in the commentary for any other sport, e.g. football.

Robin Cousins is very knowledgeable - I wonder how he feels being paired every time with someone who shows no interest in his passion?

Robin could easily commentate on his own, he must have a lot of patience to put up with her lack of professionalism. When Barry Davies used to accompany Robin, despite not being a skating expert he did his research.

I also feel like the BBC's professionalism in sport in general is not what it was sadly.

I guess I'll be watching on CBC Gem since the Youtube streams aren't showing up. I think CBC streamed it on Youtube last year, but I couldn't see anything in their upcoming streams on the CBC Sports Youtube channel.

That's pretty poor for the BBC, though I guess they can't afford to pay for two knowledgeable commentators.

This is probably the shortest one of these TV Schedule posts that I have ever done. But, that’s what happens when Eurosport loses the rights and the BBC only shows LIVE coverage of the Frees.

And it is just the LIVE coverage of the Frees. There are no repeats on the Red Button channel, or highlights on BBC2 on the Sunday this year.

Also, I can’t remember the last time that we had a Senior World Championships without the clocks changing during them. This year, it is the week after Senior Worlds that we go onto Daylight Saving Time.

If only it would work out that way every year. It would make things a lot simpler for everybody…

Not long to go now. Despite what the BBC may think, the action starts tomorrow afternoon.

Hopefully the ISU YouTube Channel will stay clear, and we will be able to watch the whole event there.

Youtube streams appear to be geoblocked for the Netherlands, so for those used to becoming honorary Dutchies during championships, I would suggest visiting the fair country of Sweden (or any other that works) instead.

I don’t know why it’s geoblocked, though, unless the NOS are livestreaming it (just like Euros), but that seems very unlikely.

I don't think it is a money issue, just the BBC in general are not what they were, they just seem to be poorly managed these days.
