I am sure I didn't drink anything but I don't feel sober. What in the world just happened with the men here...

Today goes to the silver foxes!

Japan loves the veteran competitors. Their own silver foxes stuck around for years (e.g. Takahashi, Oda, etc.) and, now that they are not here, it is the Russian silver foxes that are getting all the love (Voronov, Leonova, dare I say Tuktamysheva  )

Glad to see it!

Because a skater is for life, not just for the Olympics. :agree:

I have absolutely nothing against Shoma, but this is... taking the ultimate biscuit!!! A round of new specs for the judges, please!!! :furious:

Leonova too. A great and supportive crowd.

So ... predictions on when we'll see Shoma do a fully clean short? Because it has so much potential

But anyway, tough day guys. Shoma will slay the FS.

Actually I'm worried for him, he seems to have been having serious and exhausting problems with the time change and I thought he'd build up in the short as a cushion. He doesn't have that now...

I hope he and Voronov do great tomorrow, I love them both.

Erm, I did include her in my post! ;)

Japanese crowds are always great. I love the way that they support everybody, not just their own competitors.

And that goes for every sport that I watch. :agree:   :points:

I feel that Liza belongs to that group maybe not strictly by age, but by the experience of lows and ups, being back in the competition after rocky season, trying to raise again. I love revival of all these skaters!

Well, in this instance I would say it's not so much Japan, and quite a bit more Shoma ...

Well, prior to this they basically gave Satoko the same score Liza (with clean 3A) got, put Mihara in 3rd (over clean Eunsoon) and Kihira in 5th (over clean Leonova), so

I'm not usually a stickler for GOE stuff, but Shoma's Flip getting a 2.2??? It was under, for one thing, but that landing... definitely generous on that jump.

A second U.S. technical specialist who nails Vincent's TES. The irony is palpable.
