Haha back stage footage, that's always fun, I didn't see it when it happened, but looking at old YouTube videos I'll never get over when Oda won NHK and he was so happy he burst into tears and they showed Evan Lysachek going "WTF? Is he alright?" in the backstage area.

The French team had the best FP for me. I don't think they should have medaled, but that's the one I would rewatch and share with my friends who enjoy skating.

This was also my favourite of the night.

I liked LIlah and Lewis better and I think they should have won gold. So there.

Is Rocky a sophisticated masterpiece designed to subtly pull at the heartstrings? No. But I don't see where the Italians are *that* much better. I really don't.

Do I care enough to give blood over it? No. But this is not "ohmygodtherefs(judges)areblind". At least for me

However I did notice one of the tech specialist was an Aussie!

We don't even have a rhythm for the rhythm dance. Let alone are they going to bring back compulsories. Which is really too bad since it was such a good way to compare teams.

It’s like they changed the rules to play to Lilah Fear’s advantage. She and Lewis work hard, are consistent, they’re entertaining - but serious technical weaknesses. The choreography is brilliant in the sense that it hides her lack of extension as much as possible. We need the technical side of dance to come back.

I realize this board is biased to the Italians, which is fine, but sorry, G/F's free dance ain't it. So generic and it only reminds me of other superior teams that could convincingly do this type of dance, like Papadakis.

Honestly, G/F should have retired after the world medal last season. No way they touch a world podium again. Sorry to be so harsh, y'all.

The Italians are definitely not my favourite thing... I prefer at least a dozen teams over them... which mean I prefer at least thirteen teams over the Brits

Gee it's gonna be hard to cheer for any one time at GPF more than the others, they're all so talented and fun to watch.

In other news, I'm a bit disappointed that I'll miss most of the ladies because I have to go to church - I'm hoping I can at least see Nastya G get a redemption skate!
