Natalia Ogoreltseva is still skating? Wow, I didn't expect that! It is a pity that her talent is lost to the puberty.

Moscow Junior Championship is starting tomorrow. Schedule and start list can be found here: http://ffkm.ru/competitions/current/754-opm2016
Many interesting participants, namely:
Girls: Trusova, Tarakanova, Scherbakova, Panenkova, Shuboderova, Mitrofanova etc.
Boys: Kondratyuk, Kunitsa, Samarin etc.
Dance: Loboda/Drozd, Stavitsaya/Bagin, Kuts/Mikhailov as well as newly created couple Konkina/Yakushev etc.
In pairs we will see several new pairs: Botyakova/Bobrov, Lobova/Parkman along with Sokur/Pleshkov and Chuzhanova/Mintsev.

Hopefully videos will appear soon.

Are skaters representing other countries allowed to compete?

There have been skaters from outside Russia who have skated in internal Russian competitions but it seems like it doesn't happen as often anymore.

I was suprised to see Igor Reznichenko name who is currently Polish Champion. He didn't compete in any internationals competitions for Poland though. I guess he's one of the exceptions then :)

That's weird thing to say. It is not as if Tarakanova's career was over. She may not have had a great season, but she did get to junior nationals, which the others from her age group didn't. Don't forget, Tarakanova will be eligible the same time as Sherbakova, Vasilieva and Trusova. They have done great on novice level this year, but they didn't qualify to junior nationals, unlike Tarakanova!
