Anyone know how a Canadian would go about watching the US Nationals Championship events live stream?

Would I have to go the hola route? That has not seemed to work for me at all..

I have the reverse problem from Meaganskater - I live in the USA but want to watch the Canadian nationals . Everything is always geoblocked and I have appealed to the TV network but never get the courtesy of a response . Why would they care about somebody in the US watching Canadian skating for heavens sake - so petty . Anybody got any ideas ? Thanks so much and Happy New Year to all GS forum subscribers!

How would I get IceNetwork access? I'm in Canada it won't let me sign up...

Really? That surprises me, because I'm Australian and it will let me sign up, and I've never tried to hide that my billing address/credit card is Australian...

It might be a problem with the credit card number's format...I would call them to straighten it out.

One of the offerings on the NBC page:
Detailed real-time scoring -- of individual elements -- during all Championship level (i.e., Senior) events.

Not clear yet how NBC's detailed real-time scoring will (or will not) differ from IN's Skate Radio screens (except that Skate Radio screens will be accompanied by audio commentary).

ANNOUNCERS
Icenetwork's announcing team in Greensboro

Joining Mancuso in the booth will be Olympic champion Charlie White, three-time U.S. champion Michael Weiss, two-time U.S. champion John Coughlin, former U.S. champion Ryan Bradley and former U.S. silver medalist Tonia Kwiatkowski.

This coverage will include live segments from the icenetwork ICE Desk (see schedule below), interviews, technical analysis, special features, press conferences and more. Olympic silver medalist Tanith Belbin White and Weiss will share hosting duties of the ICE Desk. The rest of icenetwork's backstage team will consist of Charlie White, Coughlin, Bradley and YouTube personality Michael Buckley.

If we can watch free streams of Russian nationals and Japan Nationals wherever we live, why does the US and Canada make it so hard to see their competitions? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You think they'll have that stream where it's just them showing the scores and adding up the GOE and adjusting it after the program has been skated etc.....I'm not sure if I worded it out right, but last year they did it and talked through it. Basically it showed element by element and then adjusting the base value and GOE when needed.

Skate Radio will be back via IN ... along with IN's Ice Desk coverage.
Both again will be available free of charge -- i.e., without a paid IN subscription

The IN Viewer's Guide was published just today, so the timing of your question was excellent :).

I've copied the details about both Ice Desk and Skate Radio into post #10 above.

Here is the part re Skate Radio:

If someone will rein in Jimmie - we're set. The others will be great. I like listening to Judy - especially when she gets really detailed.

I was feeling kind of sad that I couldn't make it to Minnesota but with the publication of the icenetwork article today listing their commentators, Ice Desk coverage and Skate Radio commentators I am excited to watch from the comfort and warmth of my own home!!
