Now that it's basically off-season for the 3A, what do you think they're doing? Alena is probably still recovering (this is giving me such anxiety levels it's unbelievable), but perhaps Anna and Sasha are training new elements? Does anyone know how their off-season is going? I remember that they have their holidays (end of May or something, no?) and then the camp, but what's until the vacation?
Sasha posted a bunch of photos a few days back from a promotional event she was doing at an ice rink quite distant from Moscow...https://www.instagram.com/avtrusova.

I hate picking a warhorse for anyone but Sasha and a Bolero full of quads

If you actually watch FS you would notice that every half-decent skater would be at this 45-degree outside edge position at some point in their programs.
Watch Tukt do it

Why do people say Kamila’s jumps won’t hold as she grows? She’s a magnificent skater but what do people see wrong? Genuine question, not trying to bait anyone or anything like that
She is tall and may get taller. Something in her skating reminds me of Polina Tsurskaya, although Polina at her age was much rougher. At one point Tsurskaya was unbeatable among juniors never failing a jump and not getting calls. We all know that the next stage of her career has been sad so far.
Me too. I love a good discussion about the Diva's from Russia. Since 1992 when I saw Maria Butyrsaka for the first time.
Now that most of the important Jr competitions are over, this is how I would think JGP spots would be distributed next season. Of course a lot can change from now until August (injuries, illness, growth spurts etc)
Total spots: 15 (1 extra for event in Russia)
Returning juniors: 8 Spots
Ksenia Sinitsina - 2 spots. 4th at Jr Nats and Jr Worlds, 3rd at JGP event
Viktoria Vasilieva - 2 spots. 6th at Jr Nats, 3rd at Russian Cup Final (MS), 3rd at JGP event
Anastasia Tarakanova - 2 spots. 7th at Jr Nats, 4th at JGPF, 1st and 2nd at JGP events
Alena Kanysheva- 2 spots. 11th at JR Nats, 3rd at JGPF, 2nd at both JGP events
New Juniors:
Kamila Valieva - 2 spots. 1st at younger age and older age nationals, withdrew from some events with injury but clearly the strongest of the upcoming group
Maya Khromik - 2 spots. Also injured at the start of the season and missed ability to qualify for jr nats. 1st at Cup Final (CMS) and 2nd at Elder Age nats
Daria Usacheva - 1/2 spots. Started the season strong but dealt with some inconsistencies starting mid season. Came back pretty strong the last couple of competitions but seems to be struggling a bit with confidence. 2nd at Cup Final (CMS), 3rd at Elder Age Nats, 10th at Jr Nats
Anna Frolova/Anastasia Shabotova/Viktoria Safonova seem to be the best candidates for the remaining spots.
What do you guys think?
Pretty sure rusfed will do the same as they did last several seasons.
They will give 1 GP each girl, and give the second one only to the girls who can make GPF.
Right I’m just basing this off the assumption they all skate at about the level they have been recently. I would think the 4 returning juniors + kamila and maya would likely all get 2 by placing 1st or 2nd at their events, with the other 4 skaters fighting for the remaining spots
