Thanks alot but not in my country it seems. canada is so strict re banning streams in asian coutries. sigh...
iirc/afaik, NHK Trophy competition days typically have been Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The same is true again this year.
So whether "strange" or not "regular" or whatever you choose to call it, Skate America is in good company.
Plus this year, GP Helsinki competition days also are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I suspect that's really the one and only reason. Stimulate the economy. Hanyu is coming? Good, then we do the Men's event on Sunday, so everybody will have to stick around until Sunday.Have to be honest, I hadn't even looked at the timetable for Helsinki yet. But, I am surprised that they are doing it this way.

Yes, it is better in terms of getting spectators in through the doors: you are more likely to get bums on seats on a Sunday morning than on a Friday morning.
I know it’s not their fault but this is so typical Eurosport. I just hope that they find a way to replay the live coverage at some point. It’s bad enough that the Ladies and Ice Dance aren’t getting commentary.
Such is life.
Wait! I think they’ve cancelled the race! Yay! (Sorry Super Bikes Fans)
I didn’t know that, they can’t reschedule it? That’s a shame but once you start getting into the 2hrs worth of delays it was bound to happen.
Wow! The only things that are not being shown LIVE on Eurosport are the things that are being held on Sunday (the Men’s FS and the Gala)
Shame about the Men's FS. Looking at the time schedule they could have shown it live - it would finish about 25 minutes before the start of the New York Marathon coverage (2.15 p.m. in the UK).
As it is they'll be showing highlights of the Ladies' Free while the Men's is going on live...
Anyone else having problems with the Eurosport player? All the PLAY streams seems to have disappeared from the schedule today. I cannot find an archived stream of Ice Dance, there is no Pairs right now, and the upcoming schedule only lists the ESP2 Ladies and Men. (Plus a recap of the Pairs.)
I have a same problem in Hungary
