Entires are out and it's a really good field, especially for ice dance and pairs.

I wonder if the Spanish Fed required both their top ice dance teams to be there.

Pairs and dance fields indeed look well worth the trouble of traveling to Espoo!

Wow, the Entries are sooo good! I see that Spanish Federation is making their ID teams skate head-to-head once again. Well, at least the scores are comparable.

Konstantinova replaces Sotskova.
Still no CS for Panenkova despite being in the subs list.

Many of the probably winners in this competition are already maxed out or close to it on ISU points, so if they win they won't get much.

For example KOLYADA just got 300 point for his win at NEPELA. But he will get only 147 points instead of the 300 if he wins at NEBELHORN
BYCHENKO would get only 142 points
ALIEV would get the whole 300 points

If TUKTAMYSHEVA wins at NEBELHORN, she will get only 111, not the full 300 points
If TURSYNBAEVA wins at NEBELHORN, she will get only 130 points
If KONSTANTINOVA wins, she will get only 90 points

Sorry I get confused why are you talking about Nebelhorn? Did you mean Finlandia Trophy?

There is a rumor they are injured. I hope it isn't true, but I've been worried since they withdrew from ACI.

Withdraw from one event, and you usually think it could be anything from a large number of possibilities. Withdraw from a second event, weeks later, and you usually think injury unless you hear otherwise. They usually compete in mid-summer. Switching rinks might be enough to explain why they didn't; but they could have gone to the Quebec Summer event or any of the other events in the U.S. or Canada. They didn't. Fortunately they don't compete on the GP until early November so that's quite a bit of time. But they won't be able to compete at either Tallinn or Inge Solar as those Challengers are the same weekends as H&B's GP events. They've likely lost a couple hundred World-Standing points by not skating the pre-season. Nothing insurmountable but enough incentive to make you think they would be competing if they could.

Some more withdrawals: Samohin, Harris and Paniot are no longer listed in the Men's event.

ETA:
- USA's Pooja Kalyan is in, replacing Emmy Ma.
- Boikova/Kozlovskii replacing Jones/Boyadji. I hope J/B haven't split, I'm rooting for Zoe :[
- Shpilevaya/Smirnov now replace Torn/Partanen

I notice there is no link to livestream. With such an impressive lineup I hope we will be able to watch it online.

Hooray! T/M! I've been waiting and waiting to see them! I'm very excited for their programs after seeing them at the Test Skates, especially since we'll see costumes! At least...I hope we'll see costumes, seems it sometimes takes a while for Russians to get their costumes. :)

Katia and Harley will be there too representing Aussieland, I'm sure their programs will be much better here than they were at altitude in Salt Lake City

Also, Liza T! Morris! The two Majarovs! Good stuff.
