I didn't realise until there now when I went to check his results from previous editions - this is his very first WTT. :shocked:

Although, thinking about it, he wouldn't have been in contention for a slot when he was skating for America. So, I'm glad he got here this time.

If ever there was a competition designed with his personality in mind, it was this! :agree:

Haven't heard that one before.

And unfortunately, the stream problems returned for his routine.

It must be down to bandwidth or something in Japan. Like, it just seems so suspicious that the problems returned when the top Japanese Men's skater in the competition came on, which is when there would be the most people watching.

It was good to see how mesmerizing this program is, how musical and nuanced. It is not a feat to take on beautiful music or to decorate it with difficult jumps, but a real feat for me is to get the music elevated through the presence and movement - Shoma really has that trait

She was already present at the ice out at the worlds. Maybe the coaches just didn't make the trip since she was already there ? (and that the challenge here was less for Vincent ?)
