2022 Coupe du Printemps

The 2022 Coupe du Printemps will take place Mar 18-20, 2022, in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg. The event will feature the Singles discipline (Women and Men) in the Novice, Junior and Senior categories. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2021, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance 2021, and the relevant ISU Communications.

If I understand the website info correctly, audience isn't allowed this year, and there won't be a gala. They say they'll stream the event through Facebook. I hope that still means anyone can watch, even those without FB accounts?

Considering tickets are free for kids under 12, I am going with actual attendance tickets. ;-)

Edit: ticket page says “Adult ticket valid for one day only. You can chose the day you want to come. (Gala NOT included)

Let’s hope it’s a free stream, but if it’s on facebook, it probably will be.

I just don't get that. The competition's website says "The Draw will take place on Thursday 17th at 18h00. The public won’t be allowed but there will be a livestream on our Facebook Page. Due to the current situation there won’t be a gala organized this year." Do they just mean the public won't be allowed for the draw since they're selling tickets for the competition? That makes no sense...

I have never heard of audience (us paying public, I mean) being allowed at the official draw. So they probably just mean not allowed at that specific part of the event.
It may get shown on the stream, though (I know Challenge Cup did that, it was one of the few things I actually saw a bit of, lol).

Looks like JSF sent out the Junior Worlds team to compete senior with the exception of Shun... I hope he's recovering fine. But KAZUKI!!!

He already confirmed on Twitter he is competing at CdP - he did the same in 2018, too!

Oh wow, I hope it isn´t too much for him though. The good thing though is that he could probably go direct from CdP to WC because he is already in Europe. In fact, if he was already on his way it would perhaps be easier to just do it this way, he will have longer time to get rid of the jet lag.

Yeah. I think it's the right decision since he's already in Europe and he can use CdP as a warm up - he can also lower his BV if necessary.

I think that is because the action doesn't start until this morning (2h 15m from now). At least, I hope it is!

Because there is both MotoGP and Formula 1 this weekend, I won't be able to watch LIVE. But, I will try to do the reminder posts.

Day 1 of the Coupe du Printemps starts now with the Interclub competitions. First up, it is a Minimen double-bill. This level is confusing, because the name would make you think it is a Men's competition, but the colour coding suggests it is Ladies competition. In fact, the first segment is a mixed competition, made up of 3 girls and 1 boy. The second segment will be 3 girls.

Now it is time for the first of the Novice level competitions. First up are the Basic Novice B skaters (the "A" competition is part of the ISU event, and will be held tomorrow). This is another combined competition, with 5 girls and 1 boy on the entry list. But, one of the girls has withdrawn, so it is now 4 girls and 1 boy.
