2022 Santa Claus Cup

The 2022 Santa Claus Cup will take place Nov 28 - Dec 4, 2022, in Budapest, Hungary, at the Gyakorló Jégcsarnok. This international event will feature the singles discipline (Women and Men) and Pair skating in the Novice, Junior and Senior categories.

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the 2022 Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Single Skating, as well as all relevant ISU Communications.

48 junior ladies Excited to see the entries when they show up, I know Norway will send a few skaters.

I like that the senior ladies SP will be the 1th of December, is going to be a cozy day

Selfish me also loves competitions who actually starts early in the weeks (maybe not so good for audience), this one will start on Monday or those of us who like to watch skaters at lower level. As a figure skating addict there is nothing that makes me more happy then a week filled with figure skating events. This will also be done by Friday evening, so if there is another event that weekend you don´t need to multitask either!

Singles categories are tomorrow. The Cubs Ice Dancers do their PD1 on Saturday, and their PD2 on Sunday.

I don't think I've seen Ice Dancers as young as Cubs level before. So, that will be interesting. There's only one entry, and I assume that they are siblings.

Taking the event as a whole, we have Singles skating Monday to Friday, and Ice Dance on Saturday and Sunday.

Wow. It only seems like yesterday that I was doing reminder posts for the last day of competition at two other Senior B events.

Oh, wait. It was!

Day 1 of the Santa Claus Cup starts with the competitions for the youngest Singles skaters. But, I am going to take a break from watching skating for a few days, and then concentrate on the Bosphorus Cup when it starts.

Unfortunately, all the Time Schedule links are taking us to 404 error pages. But, since there are 15 entries in the first competition, I think it should have a post of it's own.
