Didn't see much of what happened during the Warm-Up, because I had only just got caught up. But, I hope it went well for my kid.

Right, now for the moment of truth. Will Chiara extend her run of success at her home international event to 5 wins in a row, and 6 wins altogether?

Yeah, I had my suspicions yesterday, but seeing her today, she's definitely growing the dyed hair out.

Opening combination jump beautiful. And the next two jumps that she did on their own.

Not a great landing on the first part of the combination jump she did next.

But no problems with the combination spin.

Next jump looked effortless too.

But fall on the next jump.

Made up for it with the combination she did next.

No more problems for the rest of the programme. Although, she was visibly tiring towards the end.

Given that she had nearly a 10 point lead over Petracchi in the SP, I think Chiara will have this even with the mistakes.

2nd in the FS, and 1st overall.

FIVE WINS IN A ROW, AND SIX WINS ALTOGETHER!!!

That was great music to finish the opening group and get you pumped up for the final group - The Scopions!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a great skate for Daniel ROUCO MORCILLO (ESP). 3 points in deductions (like with Jacob Casey who went before him) says it all.

3rd in the FS, and 2nd overall.

You know, I still wonder why Deyan MIHAYLOV (BUL) and his team opted for the Spanish version of "Grande Amore" rather than the original Italian version. Maybe it is because I have heard the Italian version so many times, but the Spanish version doesn't have the same impact on me.

That said, he skated brilliantly, and has taken a massive lead in both the FS and overall!

Well, with how far Mark KULISH (UKR) was down in the SP, we kinda knew that whenever his climb eventually came to an end, it was bound to be by a large margin.

Wow!!! Tamir KUPERMAN (ISR) wins by a massive margin.

Given that he had a 15.19 point lead after the SP, I kinda knew he would win. But, I wasn't expecting him to increase that lead in the FS.

He wins the FS by 32.47 points, and overall by 48.93 points!

I think this is what you call a demolition job on the rest of the field.

Juniors are now finished. Time to start finishing the Seniors. First up are the girls. 19 of them, arranged into a group of 4; followed by a group of 5; followed by a resurfacing; followed by two groups of 5.

Yes unfortunately she popped a lot of jumps but she got back in the second half of the skate. I hope she can figure out the mental game because I think this program has great potential.

Actually not that bad considering she popped like 3 jumps or something, she scored 45 points in TES. I could not figure out if the lutz in the beginning was a triple or a double. I know she has been working on triple lutz but she has never yet landed it clean in competition. Now it looked so easy I could hardly believe that could be a triple, but maybe it was considering her TES score.

A very different dress. Mostly a very dark blue. But with a sky blue triangle around the chest / shoulders area. It almost looked like it was based on a sailor uniform.

The landings of the early jumps were not at all pretty. But her later jumps looked a lot better.

If only she could have done the whole programme like that second half.

I just looked up pictures of Norwegian Navy uniforms. And I am now totally convinced that that was exactly the look that Linnea was going for!

To be fair, I also looked for pictures of Linnea in her dress to provide a comparison, and the ones I found from her Junior GP in Gdańsk showed that the dark part is not anywhere near as dark as the uniform. The lighting at this rink in Sofia makes it look darker than it was.

It only just dawned on me. This is the girl that skates Pairs with Edoardo Comi.

So, she's competing in both Pairs and Singles at the moment.

EDIT: Better than that, I think this is her first Singles competition in Seniors!​
