The 2024 Icebeat Winter Trophy will take place Feb 1-4, 2024, in Kaunas, Lithuania. The event will feature the Singles disciplines (Women and Men) in the Junior and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating, and the relevant ISU Communications.

If it is free, I might just watch this LIVE. Because of the time difference, I'm not going to be watching 4 Continents LIVE anyway, so what difference is waiting a few days before playing catch up on 4 Continents going to make?

We move from the Intermediate Novices to a combined competition for the Advanced Novices. 20 girls, followed by 1 boy. They are aranged into two groups of 7 girls; followed by a group containing 6 girls and 1 boy.

I forgot to say earlier - don't rely on pausing the stream and playing catch-up.

Because I had so many reminder posts to organise in my Fan Fest threads this morning, I didn't get started my breakfast as early as I would have liked. So, I only got my cereal eaten when I came in to watch this. Consequently, I was popping in and out during the first group of the Intermediate Novices to make toast. And the live-pause was working fine. Then, at the end of the first group, I decided to go and get ready, and then be caught up by the start of the Advanced Novices.

When I came back, it played OK during the Group 2 Warm-Up, but then it re-set itself. And it wouldn't wind back. So, I missed the first 2 skaters. Including the girl that finished in 4th position.

I might just be a temporary glitch. But, I'm taking no chances. I'm sticking with watching completely live from now on.

And to complete today's action from the ISU part of the event, we stay with the Juniors but move from the boys to the girls. 13 of them, arranged into two groups of 4 girls; followed by a resurfacing; followed by a group of 5 girls.

Hang on. Skater #3, Gabriele JUSKAITE (LTU), has withdrawn. So, there are only 3 girls in Group 1 now, and 12 altogether.

Back to the Interclub part of the event, and we stay with the girls for the rest of the day with some B competitions. First up are the 22 Springs B girls, who are arranged into two groups of 7; followed by a resurfacing; followed by a group of 8.

Except that skater #3 has withdrawn. So it is just 6 skaters in Group 1, and 21 altogether.

Did I really just see skater #5, Aniceta VILCINSKAITE (LTU), do a "Pink Panther" programme, and not wear pink???!!!

I think she got her big cats confused somewhere along the line, because she was wearing a leopardprint costume.

She went into 3rd in the FS, and 1st overall.
