Sofia and Luke seem well-matched, the 2As were a nice surprise to me. ☺️

Does anyone know how old these two are?

Milada is Kai's younger sister, no? She and her partner have a good age and height gap (she's 14, he's 17).

Oh, Jolena and Reede's SP is really fun, and quite intricate for a novice pairs team. What a shame about the mistakes, they'll be really disappointed after this skate.

Absolute show people though

Thanks! Fun to watch (just four pairs?) :coffee:, and interesting to see where my partner and I currently slot at our advanced ages. So we're down at novice level now, I guess. Not bad considering we're old enough to be the grandparents of these babies ;). Nice to see so much showmanship from all of them, not looking as if their whole lives depend on this one outing. :cheer::hap10:

Jumps are not Reede's strength, which is honestly a bit rare in pairs, usually it's the women struggling. This FS doesn't quite play into their vivacious energy as their SP does, but I think they're not ready for a more choreographically demanding FS either.

Not too bad, even if they probably would have wanted more. :console: They're good sports about it though, no tears here.

Nice skate by Milada and Nickolai, they'll be very pleased with that  Good age & height difference, looking forward to seeing how they'll develop in the future. ☺️ They'll be Junior-eligible until 2027/28, so they still have a lot of time.

With Baylen and Michael, I'm looking at them as a team, but as individual skaters, as I'm not sure this is going to be a long-term partnership. She's 8 years younger than him, and by the time she'll be Sr eligible, he'll be 25.

Both have a lot of potential, he's a strong lifter, and she's a real pairs girl, she's clearly loving this.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Sofia and Luke, while they currently aren't ready for Juniors, I see so much progress. Lifts and the twist are their weak spot currently, Luke still needs to fill out a bit more, which will come with age and training, but they are getting better already.

Lots of room in the throws already, and solid sbs jump potential, and a good skate here today. ☺️
