With 13 skaters left to go. It appears that all that is required is a score of over 110, in order to qualify to Sectionals. Should be easy.

Good job Rika! You did enough to qualify. Hopefully, by the time Sectionals comes around, she will master the 2A and 3T and maybe even a 3Lo.

Mana did well, but, her score should be beatable by Yuhana and Rino. Go girls! Do your best in the free skates please 🙏🏽

Rika does have Sectionals exemption, as it will be in overlap with one of her GPs (but I won't go on making any guess for the following steps for her: obviously it won't be easy...)

Oh! Really? So, she doesn’t need to compete at Sectionals and gets a bye to Nationals? I’m actually a bit worried about her. At her current state, I wouldn’t compete at her Grand Prix events, unless she has all her triples back minus the 3A. She really struggled with the axel here and to be honest, her skating skills and spins are also lacking from what I saw based on her short program 🥺

Good job to Rino and Yuhana, too bad about the 1Lz, she might have been second, but a promising start even so. Go teams Howa and Tokai.
What happened to Chisato? I recall she used to be quite promising. Is she injured?
Rika can now regain her strength for a month. I hope she doesn't push the GP if her foot isn't ready.

Yuhana… the triple lutz disappeared for her 😭; But, congrats on the bronze medal 🥉

Rino 👏 Congrats on the gold medal 🥇. I’m happy she beat Mana here. She is in the hunt for that third spot behind Kaori, Mai. But, battling it out with Rinka Watanabe, Rion, Wakaba and Mana
(Edit: I forgot about Hana Yoshida); with the way Japanese Ladies is going, I think Hana is also in the hunt for that third spot, as well)
