I think for me, the issue is that they've now created a plot hole and the potential for some real continuity snarls...

And argh, I've never been a Shonen Ai fan, and I never got the appeal, but argh argh argh, now I'm shipping Yuri and Vic :dbana: what's the shipping name? I gotta stalk tumblr a bit I'm afraid

Oh, and another update... maaaany pages ago I wrote that a good friend of mine - who never had any interest in FS - started watching this, and that I'd spam her with FS now. But, but... after like 6 episodes in, I saw a picture of her on fb, wearing Victors training jacket!! Brought on ebay! And when I send her a link to Yuzu's LP after SC, she said she already saw it! (because apparently, after looking for a lot of Yuri on ice on youtube, it started recommending Yuzu. Lol.) We thought about moving in together at some point, because we were living together for a while and it was so much fun, and now the plan is to spent most of that time sitting in front of the PC together and watching FS. My life is complete!
haha I have such friend too!
She was an anime fan tho so it didnt take too much convincing

Tho she's like me is too uncomfortable about too much porn on ice, eros & shipping in this :palmf::laugh:
I didnt spam her with FS just sent her a sportbox link with CoC broascast.
Im gonna see what she likes/dislikes without me commenting & suggesting certain skaters
(& I totally gona show her SKIZ to compare & pick a favourite soon:laugh:)

& thx for the closing song Yatagarasu!:dance:

I love how we discuss this like a real comp. All we're missing is complaining about the tech controller, condition of the ice, who was jet lagged.

I can't wait to watch Stephane's reactions when he sees the swiss guy Chris doing his signature spins and then failing to hold his body fluids!!:shocked:
:roll9: I'm struggling so hard not to make a joke about all the tissues they need at ice rinks........

With luck the show runners are lurking here for ideas. I think these would totally work for an episode and could be explained to the audience easily enough. Actually, having issues like this might be good for non FS fans as "normal" comps could get dull to them. Giving a different angle/problem that they can understand might be wise.

Really though this show does a fantastic job of straddling the line of catering to FS fans and non FS fans.

I can't wait for tonight i am so excited!! (I am actually laughing posting this message just after the ones about Chris and body fluids lol)

you know what? I wish they would introduce one character that is a bit more mean lol. So far all the competitors are such good friends and so supportive and respectful of each other (I guess Yurio is not but he is the 15 yo brat, I want an adult that has a huge ego and is fun to dislike lol). I want one guy that complains the ice is melting and crap, that he "hates that event" or that talks sh*t about his competitors.

Do skaters actually do that in real life? I mean, I've seen coaches yes plural talking about how their students are so much better and natural than their competitors, but not skaters themselves?

maybe not as far as "talking sh$t" but some competitors certainly have said stuff about other skaters.

From the top of my head Trankov has criticized Duhamel/Radford's lack of skating skills and connection and also their lifts.
Duhamel apparently calls Trankov "maxi pad" and has shaded him several times
Patrick Chan has said he had watched Yuzuru and Javier in 2015 (while he was out of competition) and didn't find them that impressive, didn't think they were bringing anything new things to skating. In 2012 worlds after his controversial win he said he had given many chances for Takahashi to beat him and that he still couldn't. He also criticized Joubert and Plushenko at the time of the quads/no quads war
Denis Ten has said Yuzuru might have a problem with training in a rink with other skaters and Yuzuru has said he thought Denis interrupting his path in practice was intentional
Johnny Weir has said he didn't like Patrick Chan's skating because he had starfish hands
Brian Joubert has said he didn't want to skate like a North American skater because their way of skating was effeminate
Yuna Kim said that it was common for Japanese skaters to interrupt her path in practice
Ashley Wagner has said that she wanted to skate like a woman unlike the younger skaters and that she felt she wasn't rewarded enough for that which was a clear dig at the Russians etc.

Hmm ... ranking

Jean-Jacques Leroy (Canada) 113.56 (PB)
Yuuri (Japan) 109.97 (PB)
Yurio (Russia) 98.09

I think we'll have another interesting FS turn.

Now I keep imagining Yuzuru going let me into the anime, I can do this, let me in! :laugh2:

lol omg!! do you agree with those scores?? ;)

My stream was so terrible that I am waiting for the sub to see it properly too :disapp: I think JJ has a 4Lz as his solo quad and I think Yurio went down on the 3A. Yuuri had no mistakes but everything was a lagging mess unfortunately so I'll wait this time

One of the animators already has sketched him tons of times. Maybe Yuzuru should approach him :laugh2: "You will ruin the plot!" "I don't care!"

Wow you're good, I think JJ has a pretty big ego though not really in a bad way and Gil doesn't give a (insert-four-letter-word) about other competitors however he isn't much older than Yurio

And that seemingly weird spoiler for episode 9 makes sense now, why does this have to happen, poor Makkachin, poor Yuri being reminded of last year's tragedy with Vicchan right before his FS
