Kamil Stoch just became the oldest individual Olympic Champion in the history of ski jumping. I guess that's one age record that doesn't belong to Noriaki Kasai ;)

Seriously? Heavens, I need to watch some rerun. Just my luck I had to go out when he was winning competition :drama:

ETA: Watched most of it. Incredible! I'll have to record the Team Competition. Hope the guys will jump their best!

I really thought that Wellinger had it. Sad for him not getting the double, but at the same time happy that Stoch was able to retain his title.

Stoch is only the second person to retain the Big Hill title since we have had 2 hills in use at the Olympics. But the hills Nykänen did it on would probably be classed as Normal Hills nowadays. So, I suppose you could say Stoch is the first to do it on modern standards.

Still think it'll be hard to beat the Norwegians in the Team competition. But, the Germans and the Poles should be in the mix. And it can all change if one person has a below par jump.

I think Norwegians are the strongest now too. Forfang and Johannson are amazing. And Tande has that one fantastic jump per competition too. But both Germans and Poles are about same level strong, so it will come down to who will better jump tomorrow. I also think Japanese might be spoiler if they will all bring their A game.
