I know why Tamara always says that they should be perfect & then some to actually be judged fair:(

the spin was slow tho.

Hopefully tomorrow Manfred will rule!:hap10:

That zamboni driver seems to be driving rather quickly. I have to wonder if the arena announcer is making him excited.

might be, I think the twist has been the best one they have done.

Yes the twist did look very crisp. Their spins looked good, the only thing I'd look at is the GoE on the footwork for D/R. She looks ALL out of sorts and out of timing with him in the footwork, to me.

Also, the 3Z was shaky, but it was landed (was it UR?) Also, what is the BV for SBS 3Z (in comparison to the 3Ts everyone else was doing.)

Wow, I'm surprised S/K scored so high looking at their levels....

ETA: S/K and K/S base value = 31.50. D/R base value = 35.10.

Yuko and Alexander were hands down the best - the charisma, chemistry, engagement, selling the program, supportive attitude and strong tech side, already starting praying circle for clear Manfred tomorrow (I know I'm crazy):ghug:

Brit guys are jinxing Yuzuru sooo badly :hopelessness:
Here for the prayer circle!!!!:tantrum:
I might even light some candles!

Stolbova/Klimov, what happened? their SBS jump was not so good....why do they lead? I think the young Canadians were the best. K/S were better than S/K.

A real highlight as many of you are pointing are Julianne and Charlie - perfect, bubbly program they sell well, amazing technique, super consistent, extra engaged in performance, her cat landings and his adorable charm and smile, they have it all!!!

the Russians really lost it in the spins!

I am a little bit disappointed about the competition, but I agree with the results. S/B were really great.

D/R's score doesn't bother me, after looking at the protocol. They had higher BV on spins, death spiral, etc. Only non-level-4 element was the twist, and that was level 3. Levels for the Russians are a little more all over the place.

My only concern is why did S/K SBS 3Ts get no negative GOE with Ksenia's mistake?
