Just posted this in Zoe and Chris' Fan Fest, and thought I should share it here too.

OK, so I haven't seen the Short Programme yet (hence why I am posting here rather than in the SP thread - to avoid seeing spoilers of the rest of the results). But, from what I have seen on Facebook, it sounds like it didn't go as well as hoped.

However, there is a very good reason why this was the case. In case the commentators didn't know and so weren't able to pass it on, Zoe is full of the flu at the moment. Chris posted this on their Facebook Fan Page on Thursday:

When your skating partner is so ill that she talks with a very manly voice and cough every 10 sec ! *

And then followed it up with this after the SP:

Yes, obvisously, today wasn't the best Short Programme ever.

But I (Chris) am SO PROUD of my Skating Partner. Competing with the flu , having muscle pain, coughing every 10s and being in the worst shape possible, she was here tonight and she fought the best she could

We wanted to honour our selection at this GP and participate. We did it and yes, it's our worst score, but it feels good to be here, in France, with the Best Skaters in the World.

Tomorrow is the Free Programme, and who knows how it will be, but, I know that she will fight for it, will give everything, because this is who she is.
