But the president of Skate Canada who is Leanna Carron will be the judge there too. BTW at the GPF she is one of the two judges who gave V/M higher score than P/C while the rest of the judging panel favored P/C.

Where is the list of judges names that countries will send?

I think just on panel makeup this will be P/C's competition to win but if we are going to single out judges Sharon Rogers has a history of really underscoring V/M in comparison to the rest of the panel and Christine Hurth is a lot harsher to V/M than Leanna Carron is to P/C. So being the "president of Skate Canada" doesn't mean she is less fair than other judges who don't hold that position. If Rogers and Hurth are on an Olympic panel it's great for P/C fans. And if Spain sends David Munoz as well then I hope V/M just really enjoy their experience, skate well and have fun flying that flag because they can't overcome that panel.

Wow so much complaint about P/C!
Goldenskate will truly be happy if V/M win next month.
I will personally root for P/C because they are the ones who made me watch ice dance, not because I'm French and they're French, as some seem to think is how skating works

However they are a few moments in the 'quick' music section that do not feel quite right. But I think the program itself is better than at GPF.

Aw I wanted S/B second. I like them. They do not have much speed but they are exciting to watch. And they're dynamic is fun. I like their long and I love the entry in the first lift.

You need to go back to the reactions right after they skated. Lots of love there.

I think there are many, many P/C fans and many, many V/M fans but I think there are even more people like me who like them both and think whoever skates best at the games should get the gold.

And of course there are those people who don't like either. My favourite FD this season is H/D or Italia2.

I'm thrilled for Katya and Dima! It's been 5 years since they've placed this high at Euros. :agree:

It appears as though P/C are a runaway train that cannot be stopped. Next stop PyeongChang to get their OGMs. As a V/M stan it's pretty upsetting but I've come to terms with it. P/C are at least a much more palatable team than D/W so that is a tiny consolation.

D/W were really fun to watch in person. I did not care for them on TV at all.

I got D/W only when I saw them in person. They had a great speed.

I personally don't see hate, mostly just complaints about the scoring. I, like many others, don't think that was their best ever and don't agree with the scores.

I don't like the fact that these scores are leaving no room for V/M, even though they should be at least on par with P/C.

I think V and M sewered themselves. They did not pick a warhorse, classical mu sic. and as trite or basic as it sounds a classical piece or warhorse somehow conveys I am high brow, I am an artist.Commercialism movies sort of say low brow, not as difficult because it is like a piano competition Beethoven versus say John Mayer or some contemporary artist somehow it is like reputation marking goes to the classical, or warhorse.

P/C picked a warhorse that conveys - give me points; they also played it smart and safe with musicthat they skate too well. and that is fair and smart. V and M will pay the price. p/c are playing the game smart. There are no bonus points or deductions because a skating pair has a lack of range. Because say V and M are all 9.75 at say 10 styles and p/cis a ten at one style - there areno marks for consisency or depth of style.

Now I am not tryinng to upset pc lovers. they are obviously good skaters. I would say V and M are more prone to errors. V and M current performance is more avante garde or experimental or less classical and that does not play well. I do have some issues with Gabby's skating skills I do think the judges are too generous and that her not really having the ss of her partner should show up more in the scores but politics, judging, reputation iswhat it is.

I guess the intangible - when I see the scores p/c are getting it really looks like it is over for V/M. It is likewhat I am saying about pcs in men. The movement of the scoring gives littleroom to differentiate skaters. Though I guess one flaw I have maybe somewould say is that I think, and I want to be fair, in general the final pcs score barring major problems should favor V/M but that isn't happening and if it does it is notdifferentiate as much as I think it should.

I appreciate pc fans will disagree.

In the end the unexplainable, intangible, undescribeable feeling is that the judges want to give pc the OGM and it really fee

ls like V/M are not much of a contender.

There are no extra marks for them really doing something more original and perhaps as a concept difficult.

As I said before ironically i love the music of Moonlight Sonata and thus like the program better. But if I were judging the actual skates (again assuming both teams skate them well) I would give it to V/M - I am not a big MR fan at all.

But it doesn't matter what I think. Crown P/C OGM.

I am really happy for Bobrova/Soloviev, especially if this is their final season. That being said, I do love Step/Bukin who probably will be Russia #1 next year. Did anyone else spot Katsalopov in the audience? (probably feeling a little left out!)

Excatly- honest and straightforward while the other B/C , a dance B/C, is on completely the opposite side of expression and on A comparison of them is of no value.

Who is B/C?

Where are all the people getting their crystal balls from saying that either V/M or P/C are going to win the OGM? Makes me wonder have any of you guys watched olympics before - it is always full of surprises.

I think some are upset with P/C scores more than the skaters themselves. Certainly the V/M fans seem a bit nervous at times and rightly so as it is a tight battle most likely to be settled by who skates their style the best with the least mistakes while capturing the emotions of the crowd. The teams have different strengths and at times have each made mistakes. My wish is for both teams to finish satisfied that they have done their best.

I grew up watching Meryl & Charlie as pre-teens taking from Igor and have such as soft spot for them. Even as kids they had amazing drive to improve.

As a P/C fan I have to agree that even though they were once again sublime, I preferred their GPF skate. They (particularly her) were a bit more subdued here. I know we should not compare scores between different competitions, but subjectively speaking, since they skated the same FD better, the +10 across the board was a bit too much. Since V/M were not here, it's pointless to discuss about the prospects of Olympic gold.
I am thrilled for B/S, well deserving silver medal. To me, there was no question B/S were the second best by far on the day. Since Anna/Luca messed up, bronze was well deserved as well. Overall a gorgeous podium
