Just looked him up. And if his Twitter account is anything to go by, he is a general sports commentator that doesn't specialise in anything in particular.

Which would explain a lot.

Whenever it was, I remember thinking then that he wasn't great at talking about what was happening on the ice. That a lot of the time he was just talking generally.

But, at least he can identify elements.

Have to say, I have been very impressed with the first three skaters. And I remember liking the next girl the last time I saw her.

This is turning into a very impressive opening group.

Wonder what the two Filipina girls at the end will be like. I don't think I've seen either of them before.

I suppose you could say that at least knowing the names of elements is something. That's more than some general sports commentators can do.

But, I suppose he has too many other obligations in his roles at Skate Canada and the ISU.

I kind of love all of it, but the gloves are soooo distracting. Though this dress could be a wedding dress, tbqh.

Edit: Wait, on closeup, there is really huge bling on that dress. Could be better with smaller rhinestones.
