That should be Miyu Nagashio, who will be skating to her last performance at JPN nationals. (Skating to Titanic, I think)

Hey, we seem to have the thread to ourselves. Mind if I kick off my shoes? ;)

Her 3T-3T goes on and on across the ice.

-1 GOE on a 1Lz is heartbreaking when you see it displayed as -0.06.

Japanese nationals has such cool technology for figure skating! They give the viewer so much information!

Don’t cry, Yuka. Okay, no, you deserve to cry. But it’ll be okay.

You can't get *negative* points on an element, can you? I mean lowest you can get is 0.00, yes? LOL now you got me thinking!

No, you can’t. The old SOV has some weird factouring on the choreo sequence, for example, to prevent a skater from losing points on it, let alone going negative.

Hiyori Tokura does not have a traditional figure skating body type but she really jumps high. I think this shows that good technique can survive body changes. She is completely adorable, by the way!

oda nobunari seems like a very nice coach :)

He’s always been one of my favourite. And he really was the perfect Chaplin. Just had the personality to spread that kind of infectious energy to the audience.
