Miu Suzaki and Ryuichi Kihara have also withdrawn!

So Japan, Australia & North Korea have no pairs representative - this year's 4CC is now a battle between Canada, China and the U.S.

What's going on?(((

Wow! What's happening to Gauthier & Marcotte team? I hope Moore-Towers and Marinaro are going to stay to the end.

That does at least allow for a regular two flights of four.

Also, the competitors by season’s best:

[1. Sui/Han — no season’s best, but, c’mon.]
2. Peng/Jin — 216.90
3. Moore-Towers/Marinaro — 200.93
4. Kayne/O’Shea — 191.43
5. Cain/LeDuc — 181.56
6. Walsh/Michaud — 172.53
7. Denney/Frazier — 170.22
8. Ruest/Wolfe — 164.10

Ryom/Kim haven't trained with them for this season at all, and Sukazi/Kihara aren't in Montreal. You're thinking of the Japanese Jr pairs team Miura/Ichihashi. So only the Australians have WD from the Montreal pairs. MT/M and Ruest/Wolfe are both still listed.

8 teams! I thought Euros was thin.

Let's hope no-one else pulls out.

Live reports on Pairs practices, anyone? :) (belatedly figuring out that this is where they're being posted for the other disciplines.)

Jackie Wong has consistently been posting practice updates:
https://twitter.com/rockerskating

:thank: For the record, I had already checked Jackie's twitter and found no pairs' reports when I wrote that post 7 hours ago; then 6 hours ago, he posted "So excited! My first look at pairs." Now I've at least caught up with what he's seen today. :)

It’s kinda surprising how little depth there is in Chinese Pairs. Is there actually no one behind their top 3? It’s kinda strange their best are real contenders and then no one. Even their JGP participation has been very poor in recent years.

I would love to see Cain/Leduc on the podium, I thought their US free skate was fantastic. Based on SB’s MT/M probably are favourites but I’m not a huge fan of them and I guess K/O’S will be hungry to avenge their Nationals performance. Why weren’t S/B not selected for the US team.
