Pop has played it's part, now the heavy metal takes the podium.

I'm still not sure whether the family christmas dinner will take me out or not, so on the occation I won't be present I wish all the ladies the great skates and to the fans all the enjoyment and fun of it.

Well this has been a topsy-turvy day in Russian Figure Skating so far, so let me the first to predict a result that would really throw the cat among the pigeons—Tuktamysheva for the win!

(Thanks to the British Eurosport uncles for that immortal turn of phrase…)

That's what I said in my predictions!!!

Anybody can give a quick summary of what Alina is saying?

Her and Rita Mamun must feel such a complicity that only they can understand, both having gone through the brutal mill of their respective sports and come out successful on the other end through so much literal tears sweat and blood. So happy to see them happy and enjoying their lifes now.

Sasha 3A? Ohh dang what foot fracture?
I am a bit worried, though, a foot fracture really takes a long time to heal and I don't think she's had a lot of time off. I don't want Sasha to make it to the Olympics and then be too injured to compete.
