That is very confusing indeed!

I found the result page to be quite confusing too, because the entries list is not sorted after countries :scratch2:

Ach, for goodness sake.

I only realised when I went looking for a livestream there now that Interclub competitions aren't today. They are on Friday.

The Entries / Results pages have American-style back-to-front dates!

Well, that makes things a lot simpler. I'll have my dinner now, and then start playing catch-up on what I have missed from Sofia.

Day 1 of the Reykjavik International Games is about to start. And the sheer number of withdrawals from the Ice Dance competitions in Egna mean that there is no longer an overlap, so I will be able to watch this LIVE from the start.

Livestream for the Basic Novice Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream (starts at 2m 29s):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qlkmqGcIa8&t=149

Podium Ceremony (starts at 2h 45m 35s):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qlkmqGcIa8&t=9935

Here is the Time Schedule:

And here is the live scoring:

Hope this helps

As if there weren't enough withdrawals in the Ice Dance in Italy this morning, now I come to Iceland and find that the first 2 skaters have withdrawn. :drama:

One of the Icelandic girls, and one of the Norwegians.

Hope they are alright.

Don't worry, @norwegianfairytale, the 2 remaining Norwegians from this group are here. And there are due to be 2 more later in the segment.

This second one has a very colourful dress! 😎

Woho go girls :hap10: :hap10:

I just finished rewatching the TE, so I´m taking a break but I try to watch the Advanced Novice later tonight, and I will for sure watch tomorrow!

Good luck to all the girls and thank you for support and information @CaroLiza_fan about the Norwegian girls

Now that's a first. When the Norwegian girl that is finishing Group 2 started her programme, the stream went silent. And we got a graphic come up saying "The stream has been muted for copyright".

Well, at least the organisers are aware that music copyright is a killer for streams, and are doing something pro-active to ensure that the stream does get archived.

Still a disgrace that it happens, though.

By the way, the Dutch girl is currently leading. And the Norwegian girl that had the bright orange dress I was talking about is only a couple of points behind her. But then there is a massive gap to the rest of the field.

It'll be interesting to see if any of the skaters in this final group can get up with them.

By the way. Skater #15 has withdrawn. I didn't catch the name, but I think the Norwegian girl that is opening this group was the only skater left that wasn't from the Reykjavik club.

Wow! For years you don't see skaters wearing glasses, and then you see it on consecutive days! :drama:

Although, to be fair, I nearly didn't see Indíana Rós ÓMARSDÓTTIR's glasses. The arms were clear, just like the lenses! It was only because the lights were reflecting off them now and again that I realised that she was wearing glasses.

Oh, we're going straight into the next segment. It's not due to start until about 10 past the hour, that's why I wasn't worried about pausing the stream for 5 minutes after the penultimate skater in the opening segment. But, now I'll be running way behind, because I will have to pause it again to finish what I was doing! :drama:

Livestream for the Chicks Ladies FS is now on air (and has been for 7 minutes).

Just to let you know, they are showing a podium ceremony at the moment.

I don't know what competition it is, because I had started watching something else (the Bavarian Open Senior Free Dance, if you are interested).

Just wound back, and I recognised the skaters on the podium. It was the Basic Novice Ladies.

Which reminds me that I wanted to ask about something that was puzzling me about the results table from that FS segment.

Why have the Top 3 skaters got a "B" in the normally blank column between the TES column and the PCS column?

At first I thought it was because they were all foreigners (a Dutch skater and 2 Norwegians). But, the 2 Norwegians further down the table don't have a "B" in their rows, so that is clearly not the answer.

Then I thought it might be that they had achieved a Best score. But, it seems suspicious that it was only the Top 3 that did. And, anyway, if this was the case, why not add an extra letter to show whether it was a Season's Best or a Personal Best.

Or, is it simply a way of showing that these are the skaters that will be on the podium receiving medals.

So, does anybody know?

Just watching the podium ceremony, and all of the skaters that finished in the Top 8 were brought out and given medals!

But, it made you smile the way the announcer was struggling with some of the club names.

See, it's not just British commentators that struggle to pronounce names correctly.

Could the B stand for Bonus points? I know novice skaters can get them sometimes when jumping difficult jumps.

You could be onto something. I just looked at the Protocols, and the Base Values for the elements the Top 3 were doing was indeed generally higher than the Base Values of the elements that the rest of the skaters were doing.

Incidentally, the B is lined up closer to the TES score in the Protocols. So, it looks like the B relates to the TES rather than to the PCS.

Now this is where it gets confusing. To finish the Interclub competition, we are now going from the Intermediates to the Intermediate Novices. But, I am going to miss it to eat.

Skater #1, Kristbjörg Eva MAGNADÓTTIR, has withdrawn. Which means that we know who is going to be on the podium. It is just a matter of the order.

An English skater, a Norwegian skater, and an Icelandic skater go to Reykjavik looking for medals...

...and it's no joke!

I thought that too. :)

Share the love! ❤️

I see they are doing a Podium Cermony at the moment. So, I'll pop back and check for the Advanced Novices again in about 5 minutes.

CaroLiza_fan
It is :)

And I actually don´t like it much when there is only 4 skaters, because there will be only one person left out without a medal.

I think they are running a bit late, but perhaps there are some WD in the advanced novice as well...
