Oh right, I just realized Reykjavik is in a different time zone so they are 1 hour behind us and the advanced novies ladies won´t start before in 30 minutes time.
Hi Organizer here...when music is handed in the day before the competition it is not enough time to get clearance through youtube. Sadly nothing to do about itNow that's a first. When the Norwegian girl that is finishing Group 2 started her programme, the stream went silent. And we got a graphic come up saying "The stream has been muted for copyright".
Well, at least the organisers are aware that music copyright is a killer for streams, and are doing something pro-active to ensure that the stream does get archived.
Still a disgrace that it happens, though.
By the way, the Dutch girl is currently leading. And the Norwegian girl that had the bright orange dress I was talking about is only a couple of points behind her. But then there is a massive gap to the rest of the field.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the skaters in this final group can get up with them.
By the way. Skater #15 has withdrawn. I didn't catch the name, but I think the Norwegian girl that is opening this group was the only skater left that wasn't from the Reykjavik club.

B stands for Bonus for difficult elementsJust wound back, and I recognised the skaters on the podium. It was the Basic Novice Ladies.
Which reminds me that I wanted to ask about something that was puzzling me about the results table from that FS segment.
Why have the Top 3 skaters got a "B" in the normally blank column between the TES column and the PCS column?
At first I thought it was because they were all foreigners (a Dutch skater and 2 Norwegians). But, the 2 Norwegians further down the table don't have a "B" in their rows, so that is clearly not the answer.
Then I thought it might be that they had achieved a Best score. But, it seems suspicious that it was only the Top 3 that did. And, anyway, if this was the case, why not add an extra letter to show whether it was a Season's Best or a Personal Best.
Or, is it simply a way of showing that these are the skaters that will be on the podium receiving medals.
So, does anybody know?

She is Irish actuallyJust watching the podium ceremony, and all of the skaters that finished in the Top 8 were brought out and given medals!
But, it made you smile the way the announcer was struggling with some of the club names.
See, it's not just British commentators that struggle to pronounce names correctly.

A thing I was wondering when I saw these measures being taken. How do you know in advance what songs will cause problems? Is it just from past experience from other skaters using the same song?
I will convey the compliment, she is also fluent in Icelandic. We have another speaker from Australia who has been -in training- and is doing really well.In all seriousness, now that I know this, I have to take my hat off to her. I haven't heard the Icelandic language much, but to me she sounded so natural whenever she was saying the name of the Reykjavik club. I would never have guessed that she wasn't a native speaker.
So, well done!!!
