Even with the later start today, I only just got my reminder written in time for this starting.

You see, I don't know where or when, but I have managed to lose one of the nose pads off my glasses. I noticed it missing when I took them off last night. But, for all I know, it might have been before yesterday, and I just didn't notice. And my Mum vacuumed the carpets yesterday morning.

So, after I looked around the house for it without success this morning, my Dad went around all the opticians in the town trying to get a replacement. And he phoned about 15 minutes ago saying that they are all closed for Christmas. But, my Mum told him about 2 more that he forgot about, so he tried them. But, they were closed too. So, he's now back home.

I'm currently sitting at the computer, and my Mum just came in to tell me how he got on. And as she was talking, she said "what's that?" Lo and behold, the tab was on the carpet under the computer chair! (It's a good job she just vacuumed around the chair!)

But, there's no sign of the screw!

So, I'm still wearing my old glasses. Don't worry, I can see the skating because they have the same prescription (my prescription hasn't changed for something like 13 years). But, they are narrower, so I have less peripheral vision.

Haven't heard "Natural Blues" being skated to before, but I hope we do again.

You know, it's a wonder that @elektra blue hasn't joined us yet, what with there being so many redheads in not just the opening group, but also the second.

Hmmm...seems like most teams are struggling a bit today. Wonder if they've caught the bug plaguing the rest of the team. Or maybe I just have higher expectations for Russian pairs than any others. Just a lot of little mistakes.
