Evgenia's fabulous skates, and her joy at Cup of Russia. Just everything ... her conviction that interpretation is very important, and her bringing all of her skating up to a VERY competitive label.
Nathan's hip=hop sequence in the FS!! :hap93:, and his commitment to bringing forward his artistry, emotion and technique little by little, at every opportunity.
xDownxToGo, bold statement, perhaps thought impossible by the sceptics, but -completely and authoritatively- delivered, new faces making such an entrance they shook the figure skating world to its foundations.
The other disciplines held no real surprises, mostly business as usual, with many favourites delivering, some faltering. Finals will be tense and interesting.
When all is said & done, considering the chaos that was the men's GP this season, I kind of love that Jin made the Final.
Oh, that reminds me I loved seeing Nam have such a great skate at Skate Canada.
Thought the battle of the triple axels & quads at SC in the ladies event was pretty great also.
Happy to see Aliev back on track.
Looks like the battle among the Russian pairs has really heated up.
Camden's SP at SC. Tomoki's LP at his first event. Karen's SP at NHK.
I'm really not a fan of where dance is headed with this new scoring system. I think it is pretty clear that the scale of GOE that is needed in order to create balance with the difficulty in the men's event is way out of balance for ice dance.
Piper and paul winning at skate canada
Yuzuru and nam's skate canada freeskates
Alyona breaking the WR at NHK trophy and having a successfull senior debut overall
B/K having two phenomenal skates on home soil
S/H doing well and keeping their momentum going as leaders
Shcherbakova's FS at Skate America - as Terry Gannon said - say hello to the future. Not to diminish Shcherbakova at all but by being the first of the 'quad girls' she got to usher in a new era of ladies figure skating.

Charlène and Marco's Free Dance (and their reaction at IdF in the Kiss and Cry).
Anna, Alexandra and Alena winning all 6 of the GPs between them.
Aleksandra and Dmitrii winning both their GP events.
New Japanese pair of Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara showing they have heaps of potential.
