Is there a chance we'll see Anna Shcherbakova there as designated by the Coaches' Council? Would they give her a spot over Sofia Moroz? Probably since it's not like she's performed badly, but rather has been injured... But will she be ready?

I think it depends on her form and health at Moscow's Cup on 13th January, where she's listed. It'll be her first tournament in 9 months... :hopelessness::cheer2:

Does anyone have the official list of participants? I am interested especially in ladies and pairs. I have seen the estimates of who qualified, but I am curious who will actually compete. (Every year there are a few surprises - some withdraws, some skaters getting their chance even though they didn’t quite qualify...)

It's not complete though (only Moscovians).

Still only Moscovians and the competition starts tomorrow....
Now that Konstantinova is in as the Olympic sub, she really should not compete here. I would not be surprised to see her removed from the list, and I would agree with that.

Lots of questions:
1. Will Stanislava Konstantinova be competing here after all? I don't think so, and I don't think she should. We'll have to wait and see.
2. Is Alisa Fedichkina back from the injury that kept her out of Senior Nationals? If so, has her switch to Mishin paid off? I'm kind of doubtful we'll see her here, especially considering her age and relative inability to make the JWC team but it's her first chance to prove what's Mishin done for her, so she might if she's uninjured..
3. Will Alexandra Trusova land her quad salchow? I hope so, but I'd rather it be done internationally :)
4. Will we see a 3A from Anastasia Gulyakova or a 4S from Ekaterina Kurakova? Don't think so...
5. How is Elizaveta Nugumanova doing after her coaching change? The real questions! No idea, I hope she's doing well as she's so unique and amazing
6. Who's setting up to lead as next year's debuting juniors? I think those top three debuting juniors for next year would be Anna Shcherbakova, Alena Kanysheva, and Ekaterina Kurakova, but we'll see. They might not all even get JGP spots, but with a decent result here, Shcherbakova and Kanysheva could definitely shoot for one and hope to perform well enough for a second. Not sure about Kurakova.
