Thank you!!

I thought he spoke the world championship this year, because I saw the number five, but did not understand the old images of Patrick

yuzu often refers to Patrick like that... with strength... it has to do with their different styles. I feel Yuzu flies above the ice very effortlessly. Patrick uses his blades deeply into the ice and glides. I'd love to see them both skate live so I can experience the different styles. Anybody can comment on that? and for 5 ;) that's the number of quads patrick will have next year ;) hahaha jk

Is that Kevin Reynolds next to him on the podium?

He was such a cute kid. I can imagine all the judges being charmed by him and giving him points even if he didn't do well.

could be kevin :) and the girl is that Caro ?

Here's another one of Patrick with a *speaker at the workshop, Sebastien Sasseville*:

WAIT! I just figured this out! Patrick is at a workshop for Canada's top Olympic athletes! See here:

https://twitter.com/jfmenardkambiop/status/728323998086533120

See the same colorful words on the screen?

I only noticed this because I saw that Patrick is now following performance psychology specialist Jean Francois Menard on Twitter, and Menard tweeted that he was holding that workshop...

Very interesting - glad to see that Canada is working on developing athletes' mental toughness!

-----------------Update to the above:

For more info on the workshop, which apparently started on Tuesday, see Sebastien's Twitter page. He posted some great quotes:

THRILLED to be with our @2018PyeongChang Olympians! The #process is never a straight line.

"Learn to fail with success"

"Success is not a goal - It is a consequence."

"Olympic athletes share their biggest fears at the Olympic lab. #simplyAmazing"
https://twitter.com/SebInspires/status/727912942679695362

And here's his Facebook page where he describes the workshop experience with 50 Olympians - including "Canadian hero Patrick Chan!":

I hope Patrick got a boost during the last two days! :) And yes, he just started following Jean Francois Menard on Twitter yesterday.

GS interview doesn't say much...

CTV interview : the host seems to know very little about figure skating... she says that he is warming up with SOI for next year's worlds at Helsinki... as if he didn't skate all year...

Interesting : he changed his triple axel pattern and relearned the jump completely. and he says it is his biggest accomplishment this year

on air vivley : you can see his scar. it's still there and part of his beautiful face ;)

that's pretty much all they said.. you didn't miss much

Haha, thanks, 4everchan! His scar is barely noticeable in the screen captures of his on air interview. Look at him smiling here:

The biggest thing the GS interview does for me is to reassure me that Patrick still has a good relationship with David Wilson and they are going to work together for the next two years. Some of the comments after Worlds had me worried, and I wondered if David was one of the people Patrick said he maybe hurt when he had his outburst after the FS. But it seems like all is well with them right now. I love how David said that it takes working with someone three years for the relationship to really gel and to work well together.

What do you all think? I know Patrick didn't used to believe in sports psychologists, but do you think it would benefit him to go see a performance psychologist like Mr. Menard on a regular basis until the Olympics? I think so.

I love seeing and hearing about all the changes and improvements Patrick has been making since his comeback. Change is good! :agree:
