Short interview with Sof'ya Akat'yeva here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJmbixpMvcA
You can hear the Champions on Ice show in the background, but there was time for a talk.
She started skating at 3-4 years of age, and has been invited to Eteri Georgiyevna's selection when she was 9. Sof'ya is eleven now.
Sof'ya, who often gets called Sonya (?) only has learned the 4T and 3A since New Year and got them solid only a couple of weeks ago, but she wants to compete the 3A in her coming SP and the 3A and 4T in her coming FS.
She has very nice memories of participating in previous season of "Ice Age, Kids", almost daily rehearsals and training a Khrustalniy made for a full schedule.
She was a little apprehensive at first about skating on the smaller ice surface in the show, without a boarding etc. but after the rehearsal she was confident again.
----
PS: Experiences like these shows do clearly help young prospective skaters to master any small fears they might have.
#TeamTutberidzeForProgress has a wonderful prospect in Sof'ya.
