Clean skate, he fistpumps! They could show more expression, though

The buzz really added to Katia and Harley's Evanescence type programme. I hope this doesn't continue on into the men's segment.

Good for the Aussies skating a lot cleaner than they did in JGP Riga!

Performance-wise they have a long way to go, but yes, get those elements done and you'll get the spot...

Good skate for the Aussies! Their throw could have been a little bigger, but they looked a lot more confident than at their JGP.

So AUS is also in :yay: E: Besides them im pretty sure we will see AUT and CZE in olympics too. And PRK i hope... But you never know with all those problems, we can even see ESP or BLR or any other who have enough TES score, knowing that ISR and this JPN team may have citizenships issues.

Yup, they need to mature. But as you say, get those elements done...

The rest is a matter of experience.

the Japanese pair will never place higher than this... Will Japan miss the Team Event because of them?

the Japanese pair won't make the team then... :(
Who knows what happens in FS?

Anyway, there's going to be a Japanese team @ the Olys, in team comp, unless something really unexpected happens in FD and Muramoto/Reed don't get the spot in dance (you need to qualify in 3 out of 4 disciplines for the team comp, right?)

You are aware that there is still the free program? You never know what might happen.

Besides, this team isn't able to skate at the Olympics because of citizenship issues. They are just the best team, and so they are trying to get a spot for the sake of Team Japan. However, if the pair that can skate at the Olympics isn't good enough to get the spot... maybe it's just as well that another team gets the Olympic Spot. Besides, they should be able to skate in the Team Event.

Edit: Oh, you edited the post. So long as Muramato and Reed get a spot, Japan is in the Team event.

Most likely the top 5 of the qualification now will get in, barring some huge disaster - all these five pairs have good FS prospects.
