I'll say it again, I want a dress like Avonley's.

Thanks kiddo. It was fun to see how we call it.

Hey kiddo. Couldn't do Finlandia. Mom was a bit agitated this morning. All is settled down now.

:ghug:, hope everything is okay, please say hi to mom!

One of the more awkwardly cut Les Mis programs.

Program Layout:

Choreo Spinning Movement to start into
Twizzles nice and close level 2 for her level 4 for him
Choreo Sliding movement out
Dance spin - Huge speed on this. Cartwheel exit out.Level 4 and really good
NT St Seq- Again, the closeness of them is quite good Level 2 for her level 3 for him
Cir St Seq
Curve lift to one foot by him - good pickup and steady edge
Lots of typical Montreal choreography in this, with all the spinning movements
Rotational lift - Level 4. They do good lifts
Choreo spin to finish

That just flew by. Very no-nonsense approach. Lockstepping through the elements.

Score: 84.52

What exactly is the thinking behind the design of that program? Why use "I Dreamed A Dream" for a couples dance to begin with, and if you're going to, why use the Glee version that is a mother/daughter duet?

The day Fabbri and Ayer don't fall will bring them great result. Such a shame they have errors and fall in each segment of every single competition :(
I still have high hopes for them since their partnership is very recent.

Darya POPOVA / Volodymyr BYELIKOV
Country: Ukraine
Music:
Choreography by: Larisa Fiodorova
Costumes: Slate blue dress for her. Looks like purple with grey undertones shirt with black pants for him

Program Layout:

Rotational Lift good pick up level 4
Diag Step Seq - got the job done
Twizzles - big distance out of first set but with nice curve out. Level 4 for him, level 3 for her.
NT Step Seq - level 3 for her, level 1 for him. Ouch.
SL Lift nice positon changes for her
Dance Spin - looks like they lost it at the position change. Speed collapsed.
Choreo Character Step Sequence
Choreo Lift to lovely deep hydroblading position

Ok, well they get a thumbs up for including some hydroblading. I just never seem to warm to them as much as the judges do Why?

Long long review by judges. It's getting ridiculous.

Score: 84.66 SB

These entrances... these are actually choreographed. Honestly I don't like it when they start acting before the music starts. The looks, the arms, the shoulders... it is so over the top and it's getting worse.

They're solid, but I think they performed it better at their first event (which one was it? can't remember)

It is all a bit wooden and forced in this Peter Gunn FD for me...

Polina IVANENKO / Daniil KARPOV
Country: Russia
Music: Peter Gunn (soundtrack)
Choreography by: Mikhail Kolegov
Costumes: Black dress with shredded skirt and bling for her; basic black with bling -- and rivets! -- for him

Program Layout

Rotational Lift level 4 with good pickup
Twizzles level 4 for both
St Line Lift - odd entry to it
Serp ST Seq - this was nice
Ch Character St Seq - nice and with good tempo change
Dance Spin - Nice first position with her hand on his knee level 4
NT St Seq
Ch Lift - I pity her neck

They may be my least favorite of the Russian junior couples this season. Just was like Well ok that happened.

Score:91.91 SB for them.

S/E are damn good, no doubt, but I'm still not sure how I feel about this program. And I disagree with her dress.

Country: Russia
Music: "Intro" by Onuka; "Witchdoctor" by Camo & Krooked; "Lijo" by Alina Orlova
Choreography by: Alena Samarskaia
Costumes: Strappy bikini type bodysuit covered by pink sheer overlay for her. deep purple shirt with assymetical sleeves for him an

Program Layout:

NT St Seq level 3 for her level 2 for him
Twizzles - nice sliding movement into it. Level 4 for both and well done and right into
Dance Spin - huge speed and stretch from her
Choreo Spin
Chor Char St Seq - quite good. In your faces judges!
Curve Lift - Lovely position from her. Level 4
Diag St Seq
SL Lift - level 4 but I found it a bit ungainly.

I applaud them for going out of the box but it's not a particularly accessible program (or music choices). Very de gustibus. I like it but I can see how it would turn a lot of people off.

Score: 97.88 SB

And they're in the final.
