A few teams left him for marina this year, Tobias/Tkachenko (even if they ended up not competing), Lorenz/Polizoakis at the end of last season, and then Lewis/Bye mis-season...

AFAIK Igor still has Chock/Bates, Nazarova/Nikitin, Min/Gamelin, Coomes/Buckland, Pogrebinsky/Benoit, Abachkina/Thauron for seniors. Carreira/Ponomarenko, Nguyen/Kolesnik for juniors.

Igor also has Mansour/Ceska who qualified for Olympics.

Igor's rink was indeed too crowded at one point compared to Marina's. The switches produced a sort of rebalancing.

Tobias-Polizoakis-Lewis are also very close friends.

What happened with C/P is sad but I think we should put it into prospective. This is just one of the competitions. This team achieved a lot and Anthony is only 17 - much younger than most of the boys at Junior level.

Good point on Anthony's youth. You do have to hand it to the Washington FSC. The Greene's technical marks were very good! Now they need some maturity and enhanced artistry.

WISA does a good job teaching technical skills.

Sofia and Igor were the third Russian couple at Jr Grand Prix final and silver medalists at Junior nationals, beating Arina and Maxim on both occasions. The decision should have been maybe between Polishchuk/Vakhnov and Arina/Maxim based on the results. No debate in what concerns the place of Sofia / Egor on the team IMO.

I didn't say they didn't deserve their place according to the results at RN. Just said it wasn't the decision I'd go with. P/V were lowballed on GOE and PCS compared to both S/E and U/N, especially if you look at the GPF scores, but it is what it is.

lol greens for their boring slow and childish skating scored HIGHER BY FIVE POINTS their PB. more than any team here. horrible

They got the second highest TES in the SD because they had YYY on both sections of the pattern, L4 on the twizzles and lift, and L3 on the steps, all with +GOE. They were lowballed on the PCS to satisfy your comments.

BTW, Caroline is 13 years old.

Caroline is 15 in a few days. They did great. Very strong outing. I do not think they were lowballed though.

Coomes/Buckland will struggle to continue next season, Abachkina/Thauron split, Pogrebinsky/Benoit rumored to have split, Chock/Bates going to continue?

Really ? Where did you see that ?

No tangible evidence other than he has not been seen at the rink in a while and the talk going around the coaches - would make sense though as they got put right back behind Parsons and Macnamara even with the head start at Senior.

OK, Caroline is 14, but she won't turn 15 for another 6 months. Her birthdate is OCTOBER 3, 2003. She was still 13 for their first JGP event, and turned 14 during their second. They won two bronze medals in this, their first year in the JGP.

Her BD is wrong in their ISU profile then http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00102639.htm. 14-15 - It does not matter. They are young and talented for sure. I just think they were very fairly scored.

Caroline's ISU birthdate is correct---it is the same birthdate as in the USFS program. The Greens could not do the JGP until this season because in 2016, Caroline didn't turn 13 until October, and skaters have to have turned 13 by July 1 to be eligible for the JGP. By the same token, the Greens cannot do Senior competitions until the 2019-2020 season because she won't turn 15 until October 2018. That means they can't do Challenge or Senior B competitions next fall, or 4CC 2019, even though she will be 15 at the time of those competitions. They can't accumulate extra World ranking points by doing those competitions as older Juniors can; Junior ISU B competitions don't award WR points.

Pogrebensky/Benoit are very talented and ooze charisma on ice. But the Parsons and McNamara/Carpenter have rock solid technical skills. The US junior teams mentioned in this thread will have to wait their turn for the senior stage. I think US senior ice dance will be very crowded with many talented teams. I think it is wise for the junior teams to hone their skills, both technical and artistic over the next 4 years and find the coach that can take them to 2026. Maybe P/B need a new coach or maybe they are looking for a new match. That will be tough as she is tall-isn't she?

Thanks Larat for bringing some perspective. We sometimes forget how young these juniors are. Because they are so talented, we expect them to be perfect all the time.
