It wouldn‘t have changed anything in my opinion because the scores were alright the way they were. My only argument is that people cannot be indignant about what might be one harsh UR call for Anna when, at the same time, she got away with 5 uncalled lutz !.
Maturity isn‘t about the way your body looks (that would be horrible!) but about the way you skate. And it only comes with experience and shows in every PCS category. I know many people don’t see it but there is a difference in portraying Firebird at 15 or at 20. Neither of the 3A is there yet but Aliona‘s the most and it only helps that she‘s skating to Twilight which is not exactly a well choreographed program but easier to make believable. Anyway, I won‘t argue further about this.
I am saddened but not surprised at all by the reaction in this thread, by the very same people who swore they‘d always love all girls. Well, looks like the one who ends up winning has already lost that love. That‘s alright, Aliona will survive. I do hope she knows she has fans who love her and who think she TOTALLY deserved that win, though.

So another bloodbath ...
Who is competing? Who had best chances of progressing to junior worlds?
Alena and Anna probably safe in the last group at Worlds but Sasha is not. There is Rika, Satoko, Bradie, Alena and Anna above her and there is Mariah and Eunsoo who could move up above Sasha with a 6th place in 4CC which is doable for Mariah at least, especially after how she skate at US nats. Higuchi also could move above Sasha with 5th place at 4CC.
Alina is capable of getting 80+ in SP and 150+ in FP, Medvedeva didn't manage to get to 80 and 150 even at her best skate, at home.
regarding to pressure, Alina delivered it under immense pressure several times in her career. I frankly doubt anybody in ladies FS has every been under so much pressure as Alina was last year During worlds.
Ladies:
list of 16 junior skaters 12-16 years of age
I'm just curious... how was Liza's commentary?
yesterday night I come here after the final and I was disgusted by what I read, culminating with bull*** about rigged competition.
Aliona deserves better from us!
She dealed with a growth in the last month and yet put on two terrific performances.
We probably saw her a bit stiffer and controlled than at GPF or rusnat but she deservedly won e she must be respected
Anna deserves better from us!
She won already and she will win again on her own merit and with the same judges that put her second yesterday.
If a competition is rigged it will be rigged even when Anna will win again, nullifying her (and everybody else) achievement
I think (hope) we all love skating here, and that we say thanks every day for the opportunity too admire A+A+A especially in a digital era where we can find footage everyday.
That thing I saw yesterday belong to football (soccer for out US friends) hooligans discussion, not to a sport that goes hand in hand with art and pure performance.
Sorry for being so plain and open.
Hope nobody is offended
Do people seriously think Sasha is not getting sent to Worlds? What the h...

3A are sweeping everything this season and it's a bit boring, so some people are having fun making fantastic theories.. I don't think RusFed is so generous as to offer other countries a serious chance to medal at Worlds..

I agree. And that's why I can't figure out what is Anna S supposed to do in her SP to get such scores, having in mind that she has the same difficult layout as Alina with the "tinny" difference that her 3Lz-3Lo is in the second part of the program...
